seriously though they do sell a supercharger pulley removal tool. be careful not to damage the shaft.

... didn't you start a thread about this already Did you try a three arm puller instead of one made for taking this supercharger pulley off and warp it up? If so, I would try the Disc grinder... slowly cuz it will suck if you mess up that shaft too much.

what puller have you been using? if you use the correct pully puller taking the pully off will be the easiest part of this job. The super chargers are easier to mess up then you might think...and they cost a crap load. measure twice...

Well if your not in that big of a hurry and haven't messed up the pulley yet then I would just wait until I got the right pulley... cutting it off should be the LAST resort. Post a thread in the WTB Marketplace forum to rent one... I'm sure someone will come across and rent you one, or sell you one cheap... then you can just turn around and resell it when your done.

... no really, get the correct puller. Or at least get a good three-jaw puller and a bearing splitter and you should be able to get it off.

I have a Pulley tool made for the MCS. I would be happy to loan it out. Let me know and it is on the way.

Expensive story. Several years ago I had a very experienced mechanic (owned 2 MINIs) and had worked on all sorts of English cars/race cars over the yrs. He called to tell me his pulley puller had broke. Several days passed--he advised that he broke another one. Long story kind of short--worked for several months--then the SC died. He had mangled it getting the pulley off. Cost around $2,500 for new SC and labor done by MINI dealer. Lesson learned. My next will be a JCW Factory. And this guy was a pro. I did recoop the $300 he charged me--was going to small claims but used it as a lesson learned. Nick

That's why I wouldn't use heat. I have used the pulley puller successfully though. Offer still stands.
