Motor Mount

Chello... I was just wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket alternative to the top passenger side motor mount for on 03 MCS. I know that these things go pretty often and sometimes leak gunk all over the place when they go. I noticed that mine had about an inch wide tear in it when we changed my tensioner and I don't want to buy another crappy OEM that is very likely going to go out sooner than I would like.
Thanks
Rich

Yeah... that's what I thought. Weird... seems like somebody would have made something by now.

It's acutally a complicated piece...

it's a vertical and horizontal spring that's damped with internal oil. I'd get an early year one (they tend to last longer) but it may not have the lateral support of the newer, more leak prone, ones.

Also kinda confused here...the oil filled models were only on the 05-06's, I thought...

I have an 04/03 build Mini with the non-hydraulic variant.

Yeah that's what I thought to cuz mine is an 03 but Way from Way Motor Werks told me that it still had oil in it... it just doesn't leak as easy. Also mine doesn't have the cannister on it like the later models.

They are all oil filled.

the question is do you have the rubber one that takes a while to decay, or the metal one that pretty much decays on day one?

Kthankx.

Minspeed carries both the later and earlier models, last time I checked.

cool... I'll check out minspeed. I think I'm going to get the polyurethane bushings kit and do them at the same time.
