Drivetrain NEED AS MUCH HP AS I CAN GET IN THE COOPER S
OK, I'll assume (and you know what that can turn into) that this is a legitimate request. Here's what I recommend:
The Alta intake with the hose: $259
Motorsport throttle body: $459
Supercharger reduction pulley: $165
Motorsport water to air intercooler: $1050
Schrick cam: $599
Motorsport head: $1900
London Stainless header with race cat: $1299
Motorsport exhaust system: TBD
ECU remapping: $690
This package will get you to the 245hp mark, and as you can see, it isn't cheap - north of $7000 just for the parts. For 230hp, you are looking at $4300, and for 200hp the package is $1800ish. It's definitely a non-linear curve for cost to hp. To get to the 300 mark, you could spend a fortune, or you could start over with a different technology - like the kits that some of the other tuners are willing to do.
Unless you start addressing other areas however, the most you should look for is 250 hp. Beyond this number, the gearbox and other driveline related concerns become a factor. The ring and pinion in the gearbox, the axles, and most definitely the clutch.
Once you get this far with power, the brakes and suspension should also be addressed. At a minimum, you would want some new brake fluid, better pad compound and a rear swaybar. If you do go full tilt with the 250+hp, you'll also NEED a limited slip differential and a sturdier clutch package.
I hope that starts to address the original question.
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

Regardless of whether hes 'real' or not, his whole approach to this was obnoxious and outlandish. The whole point of his thread seemed to be a sorry attempt at bragging. He deserved the sardonic attitude he receieved.
I could care less if he has money, or if his real name was brent, or if he's only twelve, but he would have gotten respect all the same if he had given respect in the first place. .....he knows where the search button is and he can use it (or maybe just buy a new one with neon lights
)

It's funny you mention that because he's done this before. The kid is YOUNG. He's got a lot to learn about bragging. There were over 100,000 views to the flat-6 thread that he started before it got deleted. It got annoying fast.
Anyway, let's see if we can keep this on topic for him. I liked the list of mods Randy gave. Wouldn't mind doing that someday to my Cooper!

Yes, I am the same guy who was on Flat-6, but they booted me off for no reason other than I made fools of everyone on the forum. Hafid and especially emobob, I don't know what the attitude if for. I want a real original street rocket. Not many people are going to take their minis to 200 hp and even fewer will take it over 200hp. I am not bragging at all. I don't know what your problem is. I simply wanted to know of other kits/ parts that would help my car. And fyi buddy. I did use a search engine. And it brought me here. HA. So why don't you save your whole paragraph posts for useful info instead of your stupidity.

So much jealousy. So much jealousy.
If 2cool4school has got it made. Good for him. I wished I had a Ferrari and a Porsche, but I'm not going to dog the man out for his good fortune.
Also, people seem to forget that the original MINI was one of the more heavily modded cars on the planet. 40 years of good and bad tast leveled on that car, so wanting to trick out a new MINI is the natural thing to do. Where does everybody think the JCW came from?
School, do your thing and be sure to post your findings, so that we might all be able to learn what works and hopefully not, what doesn't work.
Peace,
J.

Making fools of people on a forum is a good way to command respect from other forum users.

There are already more than you think.
>>I did use a search engine. And it brought me here. HA.>>
I think what emobob was referring to was the search function within this site. There are loads of threads on the performance modifications that are available to achieve varying increases in hp. It has all been well discussed here many times.
>>So why don't you save your whole paragraph posts for useful info instead of your stupidity.>>
Again, calling people stupid is not the way to get the respect of the people on this forum.

Just to play devil's advocate...
what if most people are posting stupidity (myself included) ?
Something just doesn't sit right....maybe it's that over the top "look at my ride at the import tuner stereo corals" setup juxtaposed next to a V12 Vanquish. Maybe it's the username. Not knocking ya, just scratchin' me noggin. Parent's cars and yours is the MINI I take it, no?
Short of a turbo conversion or everything Randy listed plus N02 and a C02 spray on the intercooler...I don't see more than ~210 at the wheels possible right now. With NO2 I've seen 250ish at the wheels, maybe a tad bit more with CO2 sprayer freezing the intercooler. So that would get your close to the theorhetical 300bhp.

Moderator,
Just bring this one to a close. The original posting name was used on a Porsche forum and automotiveforum.com where the same kind of questions were asked and references to the same cars were made. This person was removed after being mocked.

What r u talking about? I asked about body kits on the Porsche forum. Here I am asking about Power for the Mini. Two completely different things. And some people are being very helpful so please don't close this topic. Thanks.
Hi Motorists (and Adam),
For those of you you who are wondering if Adam is 'for real', he's as real as you or me. I met Adam yesterday at Perfect Power and we talked for a couple of hours about options we have available for the Cooper S. Beyond the usual stuff, we will go as far as a customer wants with 'crazy stuff', as long as he understands the pluses and minuses. If a guy has the desire, the time and the money, I'll put an Allison aircraft engine in his Mini!
I'm sure we will get Adam what he needs/wants in the right order. As Randy, and others have said, the horsepower is limited by dollars only. If we put a thousand horsepower in a Mini, it will not be front wheel drive.
Thanks nfo for recommending Perfect Power to our Chicago area enthusiasts. Adam must have taken your advice when he stopped by.
And by the way, Adam is a polite, smart and friendly guy, and if you have a problem communicating with him, the problem is yours.

dude, its awesome that you are gonna mod the s**t out of your MINI, we werent' saying that, but you have a communication problem (at least online despite people vouching for you).
And I was indeed referring to the search button on this site, as its obvious you didnt spend even a day looking around before posting, because mods is all this whole entire folder talks about, and all the information that his been stated in this thread has already been said a million times before. However, glad someone pointed you in a good direction with perfect power.
Anyways, let bygones be bygones, and everyone will chill out and simply enjoy the bleeding edge work that is goign to be done to your car.
Good luck

Ok Here's the deal too cool. I would definately deal with randy. Het one of his 240-250kits and you will definitely have avery fast car probably a 6sec car and about 150top speed. You will be able to toast alot of the import guys remember it's all about h.p. to weight. Many of the import cars weigh in at 2900 to 3000lbs. I hear the 240 cars are scary fast...from someone who went for a ride with Randy......booooooyyyyyyaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh grandma!!!!!!!!
More power to ya and post some pics when your conversion is done....
