Drivetrain Gintani Questions
I've always been replying
Thanks for the inquiry, but I don't have any dyno sheets yet, stay tuned
And just so you know, you're wrong again! I have never claimed 300WHP out of MY mini

I can see not posting any dynos yet, but come on, they, Gintani, come into NAM, boosting about what they have done, and then provide no tangible info. on what they have done. Except with their W/A IC. This is in stark contrast as to what RMW has done, keeping us informed of projects, showing us new parts, telling us what goes into these new parts and projects and does show ongoing dyno graphs. I heard they have a head, but have found no info. on it. Just my .02
I see your point JIMINNI. I feel entitled to information as well, especially if I'm in the market for a certain product or service. At some point, though, it becomes clear when someone's interested genuinely (they'd call, email or do something along with start a post) and when someone's trying to make a point (even if it is valid, which it probably is in this case).
I don't follow all of the threads, but Longboard makes a good point above. He's in the process of doing a pretty groundbreaking build and hasn't posted a dyno yet (maybe there are "progress" dynos in the thread - I don't know). There has been talk of the success of the end product, but it doesn't seem like we're going to get specific info. until it's finished. Since RMW (and customers) have been so forthcoming in the past, we give them a pass for this, as well we should. Gintani comes in here and ruffles some feathers, make some enemies, and we try to get information out of them even if it's premature.
Something tells me that even if they had posted dynos to this point, many people would find some fault with that here, too. I just haven't witnessed many people who have chosen their battle lines come back across and give respect when it's deserved.
I tried to read the Gintani threads as objectively as I could when they started posting. If you go back and look, they were as responsible for the outcome as anyone else. Their first posts had nothing to do with RMW, but they did react poorly when the issue came up.
Now in response to the above, someone might say "AH - but you're a DMH customer!" And to that, well, all I can say is that if you think we all take this stuff so seriously, then that's a little sad if you ask me.
And that brings me back to Longboard's point - he has every reason to be true blue RMW (hey that rhymes!), yet he's involved in a build and understands it takes time. I think we can all be objective like this.
So I guess if you're looking for info because you're a prospective customer, you'll have to wait until the car is finished, as you will with the kit that's going on Longboard's car.

I stand corrected where I said RMW didn't post initial dynos.

we took the initial questions of everyone talking about the differences instead of hiding as we knew this would be an issue with the system. It is about night and day different than the eaton. It's not for everyone but for the way we are building it , it should work better on the track than the eaton. Initial testing shows this to be true. But until all the info is in we will not make that statement.
I see your point JIMINNI. ,

.I think I'll be in this market someday as well. Although I also thought I was buying a suspension this year. Grad school needs to cost less!
