Gintani Questions

"If your talking about over 300hp on the stock supercharger, then yes you are all correct its one hell of a tune......"_ Gintani

Just looking at some of your products, looks interesting. Care to share what parts of yours were on this 300 hp M45 setup? I would love to get it. Also can I see a dyno chart?

They have kidnapped a couple Hamsters from UKSUV's Hamster-Powered Cooper. UKSUV doesn't know it yet though.

Perhaps they mean 300HP gross, not net like we're used to seeing? It's not tough, even my lightly modded '02 makes about 285HP gross!

We apologize for the inconvenience but we are not displaying the dyno graph as of yet. We are however speaking of 300hp to the wheels, not the crank. We will provide the entire data once its available.

FYI: Everyone is welcome to call us for more information regarding our products. 818.804.4580

Wow 300wHP SAE with just an M45 [no turbo, no nitrous], I'm impressed [if it's true]! That equates to about 340 net "crank" HP, and at least 390 gross HP. I couldn't get 390 gross HP out of my single turbo setup on pump gas.

I'm just on the sidelines watching, but the tone of this thread seemed wrong from the start. What's the point of it? Kinda reminds me of a kid trying to pick a fight by standing in the schoolyard yelling insults. Regardless of what has been said in other threads, I don't blame Gintani for not getting involved here.

What was wrong about this thread? I have been into MINI's since 2002 and have never seen a claim like this from a company EVER. "Whats the point of it?" haha Are you kidding? So when you buy a product you dont ask for proof etc? Hmm And you also stated "I dont blame Gintani For getting involved". Getting involved with what? I started no arguments at all I just want to see the number, So they cant be INVOLVED in helping customers with questions and providing information

I'm neither for or against Gintani, but from reading other threads about their product(s) it was obvious to me that they aren't prepared to post the info you're requesting. That's the position they've taken and they're obviously sticking to it. Have you tried giving them a call as suggested on this and other threads? If you are genuinely interested, that might be the best place to start with your "questions." IMO this thread has little to do with questions, rather it seemed like an forum to bash Gintani (like the many threads about PU). I'm usually ok with such threads and have even contributed to a couple, but when you try to make your iterest appear genuine just so you can't say "see...they won't respond so they must be full of BS..." I just don't dig it. If you want to bash Gintani, just get to point from start.

No hard feelings, just my 2 cents.

^ I agree with the both of you.
littlehandegan, I believe that we both want to see the numbers...I don't think that we are both out for blood here.
Jay, I can understand your point of view, but I am interested in this amazing data. I am finding it very hard to believe that this is true though.

If Gintani proves this to be true, the 300WHP that is, then I will delete any negative remarks that I have made...
It does have to be on the M45 with out nitrous etc...

I'd love to see it too, but being that it will be a while before I can afford a <$500 to get a tune from Jan, spending $2500+ on anything is a few years off.

What does that have to do with them showing the "great" number?

Well, you will noice no one has mentioned the redline that 300whp is made at. If they rev a car past 10,000 rpm, which also could explain the three inch exhaust...
