New Voltage CAI!
Hi,
Dale from Voltage stopped by today and installed his new CAI on my car
.
The box is hand formed fiberglass (no heat soak) with a molded in velocity stack for the UNI filter to connect to. The fit was perfect and the custom paint job is just awesome
. Thank you Dale for adding a work of art under my hood.

I would have bought one of these in lieu of the DDM had it been available when I made the purchase.
Where the hell is their website/ordering? This intake seems to crop up occasionally, but with no info on means of purchasing.

You can contact Dale at voltageproducts@aol.com . Don't look for a website any time soon. Dale likes things simple.

How can you say that ? Perhaps "low" heat soak compared to metal BUT even the stock box has a degree of "heat soak" for it does absorb some heat. This is fiberglass, so I will assume it absorbs less heat than metal BUT less than stock box, JCW or Dinan?

.Yes you are correct, It does retain some heat but nothing compared to the metal boxes.
I drove in Dales car which was a trip because I forgot how the Eaton sounded. It sounds more subdued then say the Alta driving mellow around town. When pushed it sounds great.
On my car it sounds little different

I really wonder how important the material is for a CAI? I run a metal box and it never really gets hot w/ the exception of turning off the car and letting it sit but then everything gets hot when you do that.
If I've been driving, stop and pop the hood to hand check the horns, IC and CAI box - they are all relatively cool to the touch. I did insulate the box on the outside to hopefully improve it but I can't really say if it does or how much it does.
It would appear that the design is not real filter access friendly ?
