so i got my pnp back and guess what folks. same crap cel. its hooked up right . i drove the mini about 5 miles to the corner gas station and no cel. stop the mini and got gas . started mini and bingo. cel. the half yellow engine cel. the full engine power no longer available. i did the start stops and wiggled the plugs . everything is in right. tried the o map . same crap. so i guess i need my money back. i want 19lbs of boost . i dont want the money back. maybe i need to drive the car longer and let the ecu get used to the pnp q. this is the second unit im not sure i want to wait for another one. the engine 58 is bummed.

Hey guys and gals,

I want to stress something going forward without making excuses. PLEASE DO NOT WIGGLE THE PLUGS ONCE INSTALLED.

If you have any CEL's etc. PLEASE just push down on the connector and not wiggle it.

Back to Scott48: Just got off the phone with him and I could see the simle through the phone! In fact he was making 19-20 PSI and the addl pressure blew off a boost tube he failed to tighten down all the way (No offense Scott!) So he is VERY happy.

I also, got another phone call from ENGINE_58 and I believe his CEL is NOT related at all to the ALTA PnP but to the filling station. Car runs great, boost is rocking etc. Another 5-10 start cycles with the fill cap nice and tight and he should be good too!

So the overwhelming majority of the second round is swinging toward the HAPPY side!

Chat soon folks!

ok im at work so i might have some time. so i put t he pnp on yesterday and got the cel after driving it to the corner gas station. i dont think it was from the gas cap or anything to do with gas. the car still drove fine but you could tell it was cutting boost. so i call adam and talked about what to do . he thought the same as me , drive the car let it cycle with the start stops about 5 to 10 times and the car would reset itself. so this morning i had to drive to work . 150 mile or so comute oneway in the very dark of 330 am. started my drive with the cel , i made it about 15 miles to a turning lane and stopped the car and turned it off. started the car back up and bingo no cel , this was probably the 10 th restart. the car bucked like a donkey for a second and did a slight sputter. so im back off on my drive . i took it easy for about 60 miles just keeping it about 75 mph and no problems. boost is back up and car feels normal. i think the pnp has to read your ecu and run for a while to start to do the learning i have been hearing about. also the turbo might need to get up to temp. it was a lil chill this morning at 58 degrees. cool by florida weather. so after i tought it seemed to be safe to test it out a lil i did just simple running of the car in 6th gear . floor it and feel the boost kicking in and you do. you can even hear the boost is up more . i got to a couple of red lights at a bridge and gunned it up hill and you can feel the power kicking up and the torque steer is a lil more but i dont have lsd. and it could have been from the road surface . i did a couple of more test that i wont talk about but let me say this car gets up to speed quicker . all in all i need more time in the car but im happy i got it . i think the full setup with the downpipe and intercooler and the other boost tubes will make the car sing the tune it is supposed too. so that is the next move down the road . . so if you get the cel light drive the car and just take it easy and see if the car cycles itself back and the pnp should work. i dont think it works right away, i think it needs time to work on the ecu. the half engine light that is yellow is the one i got and it showed me a warning that the cruise control was not working and it didnt. but after the 10th start it all went away. i hope this helps , and now i need to get he intercooler or is it the downpipe? i need more money. ahhhh. thank you all for your help and input.

I just need to reattach the left side boost tube. I was able to push it back on by reaching my arm under the bumper, but it obviously won't hold anything past like 3psi until it gets fixed. It should be fixed this week, so I still have some more days of just driving slow....I can say before the tube blew off, the boost built to 20psi extremely quickly and the 1st and 2nd gear acceleration(which blew the tube) was quite ferocious.

That is a good point! You might actually have a leak or something that is now in play with the higher boost levels. Good thing to check EVERYTHING over.

Thanks again!

Well with my current setup of no boost, probably 12seconds....with boost, probably higher 5sec.(5.7ish), definitely below 6 seconds.

well ive got a lil more driving in the car and the power is awesome. i think the unichip and the cars ecu have to have some driving time together to start to work properly . passing in normal city driving is a nice feeling because the car moves quick and getting around other cars in second gear is instant. the smoother you drive it the better it feels as well. i will get to do more testing in the morning on my long comute , this one is only 90 mile instead of the 160 miler i usually do. i should make it to work a lil quicker. im a big fan of the fourth gear floor it technique from about 50 mph.

Hey NAM folks,

Here's a new alternative for you folks who may have had problems. It's my new plug and pay real Carbon Fiber change holder. Now I don't have graphs yet but I can tell you the seat of the pants results are astonishing - I've been able to shorten my Starbuck's run by at least 2 seconds. Just awesome. Easy to install, you just stick it in. No messy wires. PLUS, you can take it out when you go to the dealer for service work. I don't think it will damage you car or void your warranty or comply with your State laws, but hey, it's a lot of fun. We're pretty sure it will work and if there are any problems just contact our cute technical support at On Vacation, Waimau Beach, Hawaii. Just $695 and today only we're giving a big discount to all supporters in Ohio and Texas (see my gallery for photos).

Love you guys!
