Borla sport

I just got a used Borla sport system from my trusted mini mechanic, and when i got it home I noticed some botchy welds at the top end of the pie right before the cat. I then realized that the 3rd can was cut out and swapped for just a straight pice of piping.

How much will this effect sound on the car, and will it preform better or worse without that 3rd can?

Since it is the already loud Borla Sport it will most likely be a bit louder with some interior drone

You're gonna hear more of the exhaust noise inside the cabin, as to how much, its hard to say. As far as performance goes, it shouldnt perform worse but i would think any increase in performance would be negligible....

Let us know how it sounds. I'm contemplating doing this to my Borla Sport.

Sounds like the M7 exhaust i have. Luckly the guy i bought it from had another resonator fabbed up to make the cabin noise and burble tolerable. You might want to try and get a hold of borla and try to get that resonator. Cause cabin noise and burble is great on counrty road when your shifting alot, but cruise down the highway for an extended period of time and you'll want to close your head in a door.

The Aggresive Sport has a pretty good burble, but Borla has adapters that are welded into the rear resonators. These are available at MINIMANIA if you want to cut some of the noise, probably 10-15%. I rather have the non-restrictive, can run at all tracks and be in the noise abatement clear zone, Borla is right on the limit.
