But, I was curious if Jan would like to come to Vegas (hey it's VEGAS!!).

Also, I've had some other posters recommend the tune but I'm curious from Jan himself if I can expect a good benefit from my JCW '06 getting the dimsport treatement.

 

yes, set up a tune day and I will come. I was just there for AMVIV... should have let me know as I would have brought along the software.

Yes it will make a noticeable difference in drive quality and power

 

So how do I do it? Do I need to find a shop in town with the right kind of dyno?

I suppose I would start a new thread here, and speak to the members of the local Mini Club, etc?

yes, find a dyna pack preferrably
dyno dynamics second

get at least 5 cars to tune (check with local club members)
this is an easy one for me to get to and economical
might have to bring the wife just kidding

 

Actually, at the very least, I'm hoping Jan can offer the dyno tune at AMVIV in March 2008 (the next one, whichever number it is). Even though I hope I have gotten one of his tunes before then (Phoenix, Denver which are closer than LV) I *am* going to the '08 AMVIV.

This sounds like a great idea because I have a so far concrete plan of mods and

1. Jesus Head - Mid-Late January '08
2. Tune - So far so good here in kansas for february
3. 440cc Injectors - AMVIV
4. Another tune - AMVIV

 

I think Jan needs to come to Colorado to tune my car and in return show him some sweet skiing spots. lol.

 

Mods.... is there some way to delete this post? If my wife sees it there is NO WAY I AM GETTING OUT OF THIS ONE as she loves to ski.

We are thinking about flying back to family in Nebraska soon, how much snow do you have now?

 

Well we are only at an average of an 18" base, but the mountains are supposed to get snow starting today through Saturday...Looks like I know what I will be doing this weekend.

 

I'll chat with Philp Hubertus here to see if he can put the feelers out for you. For Germans, the road block might be TUV but we shall see.

Where abouts in Nebraska? I live in Lincoln. I would very much like to meet you and talk MINI. Not to intrude on your family time that is... you do talk MINI pretty much everyday - but whom amung us does not?

 

I fly into Lincoln , have some family there and then I have family south of there in many of the small towns. I have a big family.
When are you back in the States?

 

I get back on the 15th or 16th depending on how the dateline/departure time work out. I should be over my jet-lag a few days later.
