Yeah, the front end would be so heavy you would not want to steer anyway.

oh no. you just had to rave about the FMIC. I really need to be spending my money in more responsible ways. This will just lead to more speeding tickets.

Hey Mike, you notice any issue with the stock BOV not being efficient enough, with the higher boost level?

Not yet. I really need to get a boost guage. I recomend the the boost and Water temp guage. The ECU will not allow full boost until the temp gets up to at least 160deg. Remember that when you first install the ECU and then think that the car is not any faster. Just wait a few minutes and let it warm up, then hit the gas and remember to hold on tight to the steering wheel

Is getting the ECU alone a waste of time?

Right now I want to go for stealth. That means no louder exhaust sound....no loud whooshing sound..ect. Also I'm saving like mad for a wedding so don't want to blow a lot on colorful tubes (as effective as they are) Another issue is the car has only 800 miles. I'm not fully sure of myself that I got a good one yet. I like to give my cars time before I mod them and possibly mess with the warranty. But with the ECU I can just easily take it off.

So is ECU alone worth it or no?

Thanks,
Gene

P.S. Adam....You had mentioned you were going to be putting together package deals. Any ETA?

The ECU is NOT a waste of time and ideal if you want "stealth". Less gain vs. using the ECU with airflow mods (intake exhaust etc.)

This is able to go on and off at will.

Hope that helps!

Adam

Excellent news. Do you have any numbers for ECU on a stock car?

Packages?

Thanks Adam

This is a true story...just happened to me this morning. I was at a stoplight on my way to work and a guy in a Jeep Cherokee pulled up next to me and rolled his window down. I thought to myself "here we go" going to get a lecture on my driving habbits. He then asked me what R56 was, My license plate says QWK R56. Then he said that he had seen me around town and wanted to know what I had done to the car. He said " that thing is F....in" fast and looked fun to drive. I started laughing and thanked him. He seemed impressed.

ALTA ECU mod is highly recommended.

Besides 0-60 or 1/4 mile performance, if you are interested in serious motoring fun. Get this mod

For highway cruising, traffic merging, lane changing, acceleration, WOT getaways, the power gains are delivered in spades while crusing in 6th gear and docilely at 70+ MPH. No need to downshift.

If you need serious *** hauling kick and power rush, downshift to 5th and brace yourself while cruisng at 3000RPM in 6th gear.

This mod totally delivers and transforms this car into a sleeping beast ready to rumble. Just tap the pedal and see it GO.

If you are a highway cruiser and just plain enjoy daily motoring, this is highly recommended. Get ALTA'D and LETS MOTOR!

In the interest of full disclosure, I am running the aggressive MAP B with 93 Octane Shell V Power.
