Trust me it wouldn't fly, unfortunately she knows about cars.

The true fact is I OD'ed on ICs.

I have no doubt that Gitanni doesn't monitor the board after the warm welcome they received.

It's not guess work. I know someone that has been there on numerous occasions and is friends with the owners. He said they're closing up. I've also heard from several customers of theirs that they're closing up shop.

I happen to LIVE about 20 minutes away from them (Danny's shop is literally around the corner from them, and he knows them QUITE well).

Also, like the good Dr. said, just because their 1 year membership hasn't expired doesn't mean they're still an active vendor.

If I recall correctly it was them that threatened to pull a gun on Jan, and beat up people that were defending him. Sounds a bit like whatever "Welcome" they received was warranted ...

It's funny that NAM mods sit by and watch a PAID VENDOR threaten to pull a gun on someone but GOD FORBID someone ask how fast people have done a 0-60 in on their car (Not even mentioning the street...). I saw a thread the other day that got a warning for asking that very question.

Haha..... that's a darn good idea! And I agree about the setup. Obviouosly we never really had true numbers to compare but the design and drive was there... I'd love to see the setup complete and dyno'd... I think I still have Jessie's number... I'll give him a call today and see what the word is....

Well there you go... I'll still call him tho... maybe they're moving to a new location to get away from the competition

Danny had the Gintani on his car, he used to work there. He pulled it off to put the Laminova on and made like 17 wHP.

There's always gonna be people out there that will sacrifice hp gain for a different product and look under the engine bay.... Products will sell... I don't think it was a good call to disban... If it was me, I'd a just said, hey, it dosnt make as good a power as the Laminova, but not everything can, look at the intercoolers out there that dont equate to better ones that are in use.... People will still but it....

There were other reasons they decided to give up on MINI's. The guy that did tuning for them had a disagreement with the owner (I don't know all the names, Jesse and Alex I know, but I don't know who did what).

I'm not sure of the whole story, I only know bits and pieces. There are others that do, if they want to post about it I'm sure they will.

To my knowledge Gintani has not disbanded or dropped products intended for the MINI. In fact the only mention I've seen in this thread that actually mentioned something that remotely sounded like that was Johan saying he's done with the MINI and NAM. As far as I know he's not an employee of Gintani so it would seem that was his own statement...not that of Gintani.

If someone is really interested if they are around or not, are interested in one of their products, etc. just pick up the phone and call them for crying out loud.

Exactly my point...and why I take almost everyone's opinion online (NAM or elsewhere) with a grain of salt

Alright just got off the phone with Alex from Gintani. Gintani IS NOT CLOSING THEIR DOORS! As a matter of fact he told me that they will be lowering their price for their product. If your interested in this give them call im sure they'd love to hear from you.

I didn't think it was heated but we did have a user report it a ga-zillion times. That's what made it seem heated.

Seriously, people need to get their panties straight. Civil discourse about a company closing doesn't violate NAM's site guidelines.

But hey...You were wrong..All it would have taken was a phone call to check your facts about Gintani. If you were so hot to report hearsay and anecdotal information here whats to say any of your posts have value at this point.

Check your facts Nick, then post. This is not a contest to see how many posts a day one can have. Often it is better to let fingers miss the keyboard, posting restraint is good...keep that in mind.
