What I gather from what Johan told me, his car seems to be running great and is making good progress.

I think I'll stick around and stay tuned!

 

What does seems mean here? Is the car back in Johan's hands?

I'm really curious, cause more players is good. But the silence here has been deafening!

Are you serious? Do you wonder why there is silence? NAM has gotten very "clicky" if you haven't noticed. If you aren't part of the "in crowd" you are deemed stupid or worse.

I can't agree more. It is really sad but NAM has become clicky, and I've only been a member for less than a year and a half. Yes it was not smart of Gintani to say they can put up numbers and not actually put them up. However Johan said he is getting his car tuned. He hasn't gotten it tuned yet...so we'll just have to wait! Whether they are having issues or not is beside the point. It would be nice to know if they are having problems, and if so, and what exactly the matter is. But if the project is just taking long we'll just have to deal with it.

The overall problem with this whole problem seems to be the lack of information and the timing with which the current information has been released. If I were the owner of this MINI getting modified by Gintani I would have released everything at once, after it was all complete. I also feel that Jan does a great job with posting dyno plots, etc in the ORIGINAL POST. Then there is no dispute.

 

I said seems because that is what he told me. I don't want to put words in his mouth or anything like that. If he wants to post how the car is running then he can do so. I don't know if the car is back in his hands.

 

Come on people, have patience. It has only just been a year since this began.

 

Actually, I guess I'm only wanting to know whether or not the after-cooler with integrated intake manifold worked out, and is worth the cost.

 

Like I said, this thread shouldn't have been started so early or we wouldn't be wondering what is going on.

 

I am interested as well. I highly doubt I would drop that kind of cash on something like that though.

Hello all. I was reading this and figured I have some input... I actually bought Johan's car yesterday from a dealer in md.. I can't say much right now due to mainly driving it home and fixing a few things that I didn't like ( boost gauge wire pinched and melted)... I have been looking it over all day and found some of his old nitrous setup in dash yet and a few other wires and buttons I have to trace yet... The car does run good and pretty quick, BUT, I have either a boost leak or something else going on here.. With a 19% pulley this should be making more than 11psi... I have seen as high as 13 and low of 8psi today... So something is off... Might contact helix due to the fact they are somewhat local to me to go over it for me... I can say this.. Even at 10 psi it's faster than my old jcw cooper that had mods also.... Dave

 

This is the first time I read this thread, but I would love to see some photos of the installation and more information about the After Cooler, there was a lot of crap in this thread. It Looks like an interesting kit, and exhaust setup.
