Just to fulfill the curious mechanic in me. Does any one think that it would be somewhat feasible to put the neon SRT-4 Motor into the mini. 215 horse from the factory and with a couple of mods equals a really big grin. Just curious..Thanks

 

Why??? Just buy the Dodge if you want it. Or start moding the MINI. Randy has a kit that will boost you up to 230hp.

 

Anything is possible. Finding room for the Neon's exhaust manifold, turbo, downpipe, intercooler, piping, etc. is going to be a nightmare. Definitely not a plug-and-play operation.

If you do the swap, please post pictures and a how-to! :smile:

 

Egads, probally more trouble then it's worth... and besides, then you'd have a Neon engine.... tuned or not, it's still a Neon engine...

... yes, it's true ... Neon's here have a bigger motor, but the Export versions of Neon's and PT's have our same 1.6 motor ...

 

why not a vtec?

 

Already speced it out (the 2.4). Had a short block, head, intake, and a few other bits. Way too much work. Too many modifications and machine work to do.

But hey anything is possible.
