Hey everyone, I just got my MINI S modded with some cool stuff:

- Madness intake (had that for a while)
- Madness swaybar
- H sport springs
- Magnaflow
- pulley
- S2000 antenna - I attribute most of my HP gains to this mod alone!

First off, I'm happy to share my little car with anyone that want's to check out these mods first hand. It's quite a difference from stock. I won't bore you with the usual comments so I'll just hit the highlights:

- Magnaflow - yep, it's loud. It's very cool sounding, but it's loud. I'm counting on it mellowing just a bit, but I DO like the sound (especially when you goose it in a tunnel!)
- H sport/swaybar - the car handles so much better it's hard to describe. You can read all the other posts...it's amazing!
- pulley - ah yes...the pulley...the things that stands out most is how even the power distribution feels now...nice...er...VERY nice low end power and driveability. I'm most happy about that.

The car looks great lowered a bit. I ended up with 1.4 and 1.6 degrees of negative camber in the back so I'm happy about that.

On a final note...before people would notice you when they say the cool little MINI drive by...now they can hear me and the sound definitely turns heads!

Sounds like many of the mods I want to eventually put on mine as well minus the springs since I still have to drive this in the snow. Let us all know if the Magnaflow mellows over time since many of us are all for the maximum power to be had but of course I don't want to permanately damage my kids' hearing for it.

Post some pics and even a movie showing off the exhaust if you get a chance.

Congrats,
Jim

picoman - nice mods. Speedware did all my stuff too; they do nice work.

We may have to hook up sometime so I can finally hear a Magnaflow car. I'm also waiting for a friend to install his Borla exhaust so it would be nice to compare.

Enjoy!

I'm over in Bellevue...I'd be happy to share my MINI with anyone that wants to see/drive her. There is no substitute to actually getting behind the wheel.

Ok, so it's been 300 miles and I can't believe it, but I'm actually a bit disappointed that the exhaust is mellowing...crazy? I'm really loving the new sound of my MINI. Maybe it's just a combination of me getting used to it and it actually mellowing a bit. I guess my disappointment is really thinking ahead hoping it doesn't get TOO mellow...

Although it's buried in this thread, the Magnaflow will change your car. It makes it into a sporty little beast. I think the thing that turns people off is that the MINI is no longer a cute fun zipster but more of a little race car. That's sort of how it seems to me. I love it but I can see that it's not for everyone.

If you really want to check it out, PM me and let's see if we can set up a time to get together. It would also be fun to meet other MINI folks.

Pico,

Congrats man. I'm just waiting on a Randy visit in order to get the ECU/Pulley upgrade in July. Have had the Magnaflow for a few thousand miles now and can tell you from experience it continues to mellow before settling on a nice medium rumble when throttled properly, it definitly quiets considerably from the initial month of sound, easily my favorite mod to date. Motor on!

Kevin
