I just got back from my first event at the brand new track in Monticello, NY and am looking forward to going back on September 28th with SCDA. Anybody else going can chime in here.

I will return with the goal of rising like the Phoenix from the Novice class. But no Helix FMIC yet, slinger688. I think they are scheduled to arrive in a few weeks.

Great to have you running with us again. See you on Monday.
I'll be at WGI Oct. 3rd/4th but I won't have anywhere near 14 hours of track time! I'm not sure I could drive home after that amount of time on the track, but group52 sounds great for next season. I may see you at LRP on the 24th. If not, I'll close out the season there on the 31st.

No way the Hoosiers would last that long but the great part about this event is that you can come and go on/off track as you please, no structured sessions. I'm bringing a set of Nitto NT01's to use after the Hoosiers give up or cord. I can actually fit 8 tires in the back of the MINI!!! Well..two have to ride shotgun so I can still bring tools and such with me.
FYI....group52 is an invitational event only. Best bet for you if you hope to go to one of their events is to become open track quailified thru TM's. The owners of G52 are connected with TM's....I also got into Kajote, which is just like G52, thru ex-TM people. BUT....with these groups you better have your stuff together or they will ask you to vacate the premises..They expect top notch driving which I have no doubt you would exhibit. A lot of fast driver/car combo's at these events but it's not required, just heads up driving. This will be my first event with them so I need to be squeaky clean.
And I still couldn't keep up with you! I had a blast, and am actually glad it rained as it really opened up the track traffic-wise. Will see you at the next MPG meeting and report on WGI. GPK, it was great meeting you and hope to see you again at the track soon.

Have fun at WGI. I think there is someone asking (new thread) who is going to NASA WGI but he is from PA.
At Monti, it was the first time in a heck of a long time I had a serious Deja Vu moment when driving. Looks familiar but where am I? OS! then hit the brakes hard, and lucky it was fine with only two off.
Remember to take out the headrests from the back. Those 2 lbs make all the difference. Man, you are seriously fast on that last wet session... I need someof that wet glue on the tires.
