Just trying to build excitment. It was a cool trick I didnt know. I also learned you can use spay wax even when the car is dry, just make sure its clean because it is lacking the lubricity of SpeedShine. Might wax the MINI 8 times before leaving for the dragon.

I've been using a combo of waffle weave MFs, a water blade, and my husband's air compressor

I'm not that freakish about creating swirls while drying, because a car is going to get swirls and require a polish at some point no matter what anyway...so I've taken a "whatever" approach when it comes to that. My MINI *is* my commuter so it's not really practical to try and be swirl-free 100% of the time anyway.

I just hide them with Hydro (Hide-ro?) until I get them polished out

yah, i always use SprayOn wax over clean dry paint... (as mentioned above).
SprayOn wax has SUPER lubricity over speedshine, that's why i use to use
it in the door jams while drying the car rather than SpeedShine.... well,
until i discovered Hydro.

the no need to dry-buff for Hydro is super efficient.

i like the slick finish of SprayOn wax although its kinda on the shiny side for me,
but it reinforces BofS so good to have especially for the front bumper to
repel bugs.

yep, exactly my mentality for daily driven cars. my civic and legacy both
have minor swirls but i don't care cause hydro hide them very well
to a point it's not so urgent to polish them right away... plus it's easy.

I use a gas powered leaf blower. It gets off 99% of the water. I gotta get this Hydro stuff!

I like your style!

I go to a self-serve car wash. After washing (I go early so no one is there to complain that I use a bucket with P21S instead of the spray-on suds from the machine) and rinsing, I switch over to the spotless-rinse setting to buy myself some drying time. I chamois off most of the water (yes, frequent wringing is wrequired), then waffle-weave MF dry the paint, then bust out an old terrycloth bath towel for windows, plastic trim and door sills. Then I drive home to QD away the drips from mirrors, gas cap, etc. that appear along the way.

Question for Hydro fans: If I'm going to wax as I dry, should I stick to regular H20 for the rinse instead of the spotless concoction?
