Major wax removal

Finally getting around to removing Basil's tacky graphics, and am finding quite a large wax buildup along the edges. I've managed to clear one small section using QD and MF, but major elbow-grease required! Any suggestions for a more agressive chemical to cut through this stuff? I'm thinking lacquer thinner, but not sure if that is too agressive.
From my bodyshop days, we used 3M wax/grease remover, but I can't find anyone locally who carries the stuff.
Any suggestions? (something universally available, please. I want to get this done this weekend).

ps: tried Goo-Gone, no help.

I'd try an auto parts store. The ones near me carry grease/wax remover; I use DX 330 by PPG. Griot's Garage also has a 3M general cleaner that says will remove wax- item #15900.

yeah paintprep is good. it slightly messes with glass though, I believe and somewhere it says not to use on glass.... so dont spray it on it. I think it did something to mine but wore off eventually with claybarring. You need very little to get this stuff to work. I washed with carsoap, dried it off, claybarred, then paintprep from Griot's, then carnauba paste waxed. That stuff stuck on there like cement with that procedure.

Try 50/50 water & Alcohol. I just used this today and it works great, or at least it did on my Epic.

For the graphic removal I've used Undo with great success, and it takes glue residue of easily. You'll find it at JoAnn's craft store or most other craft/scrapbooking stores (but not Michael's). It's used to remove glue from the back of photos with no harm to the photo at all, so figured it would be safe to use on paint and it worked great!

Thanks, all; I went ahead and tried lacquer thinner and it worked great! No more graphics and no wax lines! Yay!

For those that have a PC, this is another place that the PC works great for. Some M80 and a PC cleans up those lines as well as polishes out the swirls. Glad you found a fix!
