Does any one have a good recomendation on what zaino products I should get to start treating my mini right? Also where can I get them from. And if you have time, in what order should I use them.. Thanks for your help!

Go to Zaino Web Site for answers to all your questions. There are actually two methods; the traditional using Z-1 then Z-2 or the new method of using Z-2 with ZFX accelerator. Some say the ZFX not only greatly speeds up the process, but gives a better shine as well.

For ordering, there is a printable form on the site. Just send a check and you will be amazed at how quickly you receive your order.

Just remember that the Zaino shine improves with subsequent coats. And don't forget the Z-6 as a final buff and for touch ups between washings. It DOES make a difference.

Here are the steps . Follow them religiously:

1. Wash car with Dawn liquid to strip old wax. No need to dry off.
2. Claybar (you can use Mothers, it's cheaper, and can be found at any auto parts store.
3. Repeat Dawn wash.
4. Mix ZFX with Z2 and apply sparingly -- even to glass and plastic. A little goes a long way! By the time you finish applying, the first parts of the car should be dry.
5. Buff.
6. Pop a beer and enjoy your work.
7. Apply Z6 and buff.
8. Apply another coat of ZFX/Z2
9. Buff.
10. Time for more beer
11. Apply ZFX/Z5
12. Buff.
13. Apply Z6 and buff.
14. Post a pic..............

As in previous post, adding layers of Z2/Z5 will only make the shine deeper. The prep work is a bear, but you will be rewarded with the longest lasting polish in the buisness. Future applications will be a 20-30 minute job. This stuff is GREAT!

No - you WANT to use Dawn....it is stronger the car wash soaps which are very very mild and won't remove oils. Do not skip the dawn step.

If your car is black or red I'd would top the zaino with some P21S carnuba...it adds a ton more depth...when the carnuba wears off the zaino is still there...you can dawn wash the car to remove the carnuba but dawn won't remove zaino.

I just decided to skip zaino all together cept for window polish and plastic polish as my new S is black. I detail my car enough where the long lasting zaino isn't that big of a deal....though on my Dark Silver S i used Zaino and have used it on other cars...the stuff rocks. It is definetly the only choice for people that don't want to wax every month or two.

Actually, you will need a harsh detergent such as Dawn to strip the old wax. Zaino says its ok to use during the prep process. You will only use it one time. Once Zaino is applied regular car wash soap or Zaino wash is acceptable over the Zaino polish. Alcohol is the only thing that will strip Zaino, by the way....
