Only with the with ZPC if you want good results.

Zaino does not recommend applying his products with a PC. I have been applying them by hand for 3 years with excellent results.

My mistake, ZPC is not included with the Ultimate kit.

It's a matter of preference. If you aren't going to remove swirls from your paint with the PC, then I wouldn't bother with applying Zaino with the PC. You will use up more product as well.

However if you've got the PC as part of your workflow, paint cleaning/polish, wax application/removal, then using the PC will help ensure an even coat of Zaino over the entire MINI.

Is it worthwhile? Depends on you.

Nixjosh2 - Have you planned a Z2pro / Z5pro application sequence?

Octaneguy - What pad do you use to apply Zaino with a PC?
Do you think you use more of the product when using the PC to apply it?
I use it by hand with a microfiber applicator and can get 2 cars from 1oz.
I also mix it with ZFX in a syringe and a squirt of Z8 on the application pad.

When using Zaino, it is so easy to apply thinly by hand and remove by hand I never bothered with the PC. However if you ever use the Z-PC to attempt swirl removal, then I think a PC would greatly cut your time and improve your results.
Also +1 on the Z-FX if you will be doing more than one coat of the Z-2. You won't need to put it in the Z-5 though. When I was using Zaino I usually did a coat of Z-5 then 2 or 3 coats of Z-2 with Z-FX added to help the cure. Also used the Z-6 between each coat of the above as directed in the instructions. Oh and add the "Pro" to any of the above Zaino products if you got it.
I did really like the Zaino results and it smelled great too!
Enjoy!

Z5pro has "slight, slight" filling properties. I'd start with that. If your car is black, I'd finish with Z5pro also.

Z2pro is straight sealant, no fillers to speak of. Great on lighter colors where swirls are not so apparent.

Keep in mind that Zaino isnt going to make your paint swirls free, its just going to protect the paint. You also will use so little, you will think you are doing it wrong, you're not. Half of a ZFX mixing bottle will be enough to do your Mini 3 times. Also, let it dry thoroughly, even when mixed properly with ZFX. Spritz the applicator pad with Z6 and also spritz the surface with Z6 when you remove.

Dont forget to apply it to your windows and lights.

Do you have microfiber towels to remove the Zaino?

I don't use Zaino unless a customer wants me to use it. I used to use Zaino in my early MINI days, but I prefer Meguiar's and now Prima products over it.

If you have a dark car apply a carnauba wax over the Zaino. Some cars get a "plastic coated" look from straight Zaino. Carnauba wax over it gives it a glow. Here are some pics to demonstrate.

ZAINO WITH WAX OVER - see the gold glow from the sunlight?
