Exhaust Pipe Cleaning

The exhaust pipes on my new MINI have some black crude on the inside bottom of each pipe.

I have tried to get this off, but have had no luck. It really makes the MINI look used and not as clean as it should be.

Anyone have any idea on a cleaning solution to make the pipes look like new?

All help would be appreciated!

you want the inside black with carbon deposits!

what you want to do is use Wenol to polish the tips on the outside.

I use Never Dull.

Just tear a blob out of the can (it looks like a huge chunk of cotton), rub it on the tips and all the crud is gone.

Can be found at most of the large chain stores.

Cheers,
Jack

griot's chrome polish works fine too. has strong synthetic wax of some sort that seems to survive the heat of the exhaust. strange stuff, but also works great. the other things like aluminum cleaner would be much more powerful however.

i guess it's an exhaust and doesnt need to be babied
