So, what happens if Epic gets on the "black plastic and rubber bits" and what can you do about it?

Wipe it off.
I've never had any staining when I wipe it off. If I miss a spot I have come back with Wizard Black Renew or now with OG's Black WOW and removed any residual.

I agree. People seem to think that Epic will instantly stain the trim the second it touches plastic. If you get some wax on there, wipe it off. I would recommend intentionally putting some Epic on your trim, count to 10, then wipe it off. You will find that it's still not stained. During my BW testing, I left Epic on in thin films and heavy pools on untreated MINI trim, and even after several hours, couldn't replicate the tough white residue seen on many MINIs.

any bird dropping will eat through wax eventually especially if the bird
ate some nasty acid crap. best way is to remove crap just as soon
as you can. if you need to park outside for a few days, you might want
to invest in a car cover.
