Found New Use for Simple Green

I was cutting down trees yesterday on our property and my forehead brushed up against poison ivy (I was wearing long sleeve shirt and jeans) to protect everything else. But as soon as I hit it I felt it, it was probably my mind playing with me. I was sweating my you know what off so I did not want it to spead around my eye. I ran into the garage and poured 100% Simple Green on to a rag whipped my forehead and face. It is a grease cutter and I think it is the oil from the poison ivy that causes the problems. So I figured to use a grease cutter.

So far no itching. I think it worked.

Just one more reason to have that stuff in the shop.

I'd put a few applications of Zaino on your forehead just to be safe

I think that Simple Green is the most useful substance on earth!! Really, those of us in the military (well, Navy at least!) wouldn't know what to do if we had to clean something and have SG on hand!

bolus, that is a great idea! This way next time I hit the poison ivy it does not penatrate the skin.

kenchan....do you not like me. Are you trying to get me to try brake cleaner on my face next time?

My face is still bump and itch free, so I think it is safe to say it worked.

I used to remove baked on summer bugs by spraying my bumper very liberally before motoring to the pressure wash bay. It sure softens them up nicely.

Well before that we Spray 9. That stuff was even better, and would clear up any cases of athlete's foot you picked up on deployment!

I'm probably showing my age but it reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live skit where the two guys keep doing sadistic things to each other! "I just love the sting of Simple Green in my eye!" Yea, I love that, too." LOL!

Glad it worked, Pep'r!
