The Amazing Zaino Disappearing Waterspot Act

OK... I know there are loads of you that love Zaino. All I read about on the forum is Zaino this, Zaino that! Oh Zaino, I love you Zaino, marry me Zaino...blah blah blah. I read these posts and think "poppycock"! Why is Zaino so much better? How could Zaino be so different? What's wrong with Meguiars anyway? My dad used Meguiars. All my friends use Meguiars. I even bought the Show Car Garage video on how to properly use my PC and even they use Meguiars!

Well, I've been detailing my truck, getting it ready for sale and I have to be honest here, I'm a girl and well, I didn't take the best care of my paint. I washed it and all that but I obviously didn't wax it as much as I should have and unfortunately it's loaded with waterspots. So I went through the Meguiars stages that I was told to do, by hand and machine and although it was very shiny there were still waterspots!
Water is bad and I never knew!!!

So I ordered the Show Car Garage video, which is great BTW, and learned the proper way to use Scratch X and such. So I did it again by hand because I had to order the proper polish to use with my PC along with some better pads and unfortunately I'm still waiting for them. (They ship FEDEX ground(the worst) from Kentucky or Tennessee or someplace for some reason not LA like I thought... blah.) Anyway, I went through a bunch of products starting with Scratch X and still water spots! Over and over and not a dent in them! I was told that maybe I would have to use a cutting compound on the whole thing to remove them! Yikes! NO!

I do want to say that I know this seems to be a lot of effort just to sell my truck but it's a Harley Davidson SuperCrew with very low miles and I'm trying to get top dollar for it.

OK...well here's my admission. When I placed the ordered with Meguiars I also ordered some Zaino! I KNOW! But I thought that maybe when my MINI arrives I'd try it on my MINI. I dunno, maybe some of you aren't just into hype and maybe it's an OK product. It's just something to do to pass the time while waiting for my MINI ya know. Whatever.

So the Zaino arrived before the Meguiars products and I didn't even open the box right away, but being bored I thought I'd just try a tiny bit of the Z-PC on a spot of my truck by hand, just to see how it is. Let me tell ya, I rubbed a small area and with little effort the waterspots disappeared!

Holy F&#%! I couldn't believe it!!

Forget parting of the Red Sea, THIS is truly a miracle! (insert Hallelujah music here)

Well, needless to say, I've been converted and Zaino and I are engaged, soon to be married. I love you Zaino!

Wonderful post...great smilie usage! Cheers! So, even though you hate waterspots, will you and Zaino be having a wedding shower?

I liked the happy dance smileys!

I'm picking up my car this week and from what I've read here would like to start with Zaino. Just one thing I need clarification on... Looks like with this system you don't wax the car - is that right, just clean & polish & polish, etc?

unless you use the zpc, the zaino is not really a polish, it's a synthetic "wax".

Yeah, that was really confusing to me because it's all called polish but the Z-5 and Z-2 are waxes. I really like the Z-2, very shiny and comes off easily!

I should add that the parts of the truck that I've finished with the Zaino are as smooth as glass! I don't want to bash Meguiars because I know it works for some, but the sections with the Meguiars on it aren't so slick and shiny.

I've never used Zaino, but I may have to give it a try. My recently acquired Bullitt Mustang has really bad water spots all over it from a lifetime of washing with hard water, and so far the products I've tried haven't made a dent. Maybe Zaino is the answer?

Probably not at Car Crazy!

I bet they will be honeymooning in Jersey with hopes to get a factory tour and an autograph session with Sal.

Great story...and spectacular emoticon usage!
There are a lot of great wax products out there, but I always love when people discover zaino...
