Moving to Klasse All-in one?
Moving to Klasse All-in one?
I am a firm user of Zaino, on both the family cars... however, recently, having applied 3 coats just about 2 months ago, and now feeling the paint feeling that its dried again, im getting more and more disappointed at zaino... and have been watching and wanting to try Klasse's kit on autopia... http://www.autopia-carcare.com/klcokit.html
anyways..... i want the perfect shine, and zaino has no problems giving me that, i just wonder, is klasse just as good? i mean the whole kit and autopia make it sound as if i can cover up the swirls in the black family A4 as well....
so my question is... is klasse better than zaino in terms of durability, shine, and ease of use? if i use zaino... i always find myself having to leave the car in for at least or maybe more than a few days... and it NEVER ever seems to last that 6 months they claim it will

Haven't used Zaino, have used AIO with my 7424. It didn't do anything for swirl marks. My black roof has a very shiny, mirror-like surface when you look at in the sun, but if you look at under flourescent lights you can see lots of swirls, though.
Having said that, Autopia has a new Sonus pad for the 7424 that has grooves in it. Their site says that pad on a 7424 at speed 5 or 6 with AIO should remove swirl marks. I plan to test that claim over Independence Day weekend. I hope it works because that would be probably the least abrasive way to remove swirl marks, and that would great for someone like me who doesn't like to polish/wax his car in a zillion steps.

I am going to try something very similar in about a month kyriian so let me know how it works out for you.
I am going to try this kit http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-pershine-kit.html

and add a bottle of Klasse Glaze to it so you get the Klasse Twins. http://autogeek.net/klashiggloss.html
The routine would be:
Pinnacle Claybar
Klasse AOI ... wait overnight to cure
Klasse Glase ... wait overnight to cure
Pinnacle Sourveign ... wait overnight
Pinnacle Sourveign ...
The difference between just the Klasse Twins and layering sourveign over it is easily seen. More than two layers of carnauba does nothing because of the law of diminishing returns.
The Pinnacle Crystal myst in the package is spray carnauba for touchups between major waxing. The Klasse should last six month. You will need to rewax after about two months ... here is a quote from autogeek and they are right ... there is nothing deeper than looking than carnauba over a synthetic. From reading other car forums, only MINIs seem to have a Zaino fetish

"Even though paint sealants have numerous benefits, they will never surpass a premium carnauba wax for shine and warmth. I have come across several paint sealants over the last few years that are very impressive, but I still prefer the carnauba look on my cars. My silver C6 Corvette has never looked better than under a coat of Pinnacle Souverän!
... I highly recommend Souverän or P21S Concours Carnauba Wax if you’re looking for an incredible paste wax. ..
For a breath-taking combination, go on over to the Sealants page and pick up a bottle of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant and a jar of Pinnacle Souverän Carnauba Wax. Apply the sealant first and then top it with Pinnacle Souverän for the best paint protection and enhancement money can buy!"
I just use AIO and the Glaze...that's it. Works for me and very long lasting. I get compliments from other MINI owners all the time.
Is it better than Zaino? I'll say no. Is it as good? Yes... but from what I've heard Zaino may be a tad bit better. Can I tell the difference? Absolutely not!!! Can others tell a difference? Apparently not.
Thing is (after claying) I just follow the directions. I apply the AIO, wipe it off.........then the Glaze, wipe it off.......and I'm done. No curing, no additional layers of anything. It's blasted good, as long-lasting as Zaino, and leaves no residue on black trim.
Honestly, after a certain point you're 20 times shinier than anything on the road so I'm good w/ that.
As for as swirls....Klasse may cover up some but not to any large degree.

hm... that kit looks great, but i already have a great claybar by mothers
sounds like, from the comments, people are telling me to mix something like klasse with a good wax to top it... something like soverign or p21S
to be honest... i dont care if i have to wax or seal every 2 months, as i already do that anyway... and i feel that zaino NEVER EVER lasts the 6 months it should

I just used the Klasse twins yesterday for the first time. The AIO is amazing stuff; I'd give it an A+. The glaze is very good too--it definitely improves the shine, but its not quite the WHOA! you get after doing the AIO--the AIO takes a dull car and makes it shiny again; the glaze just adds a little bit to that, so it's not as dramatic. But the glaze is so easy to apply, I'd definitely do it--it only takes a few minutes (The AIO took me much longer). Where I really like the glaze is on the black trim--it makes it look as good, if not better than new. Hard to describe, but the sheen is just right--not too shiny, but not dull at all. I was worried the glaze would be tough to get off, but it came off very easily--did it in the garage to avoid direct sunlight.
I didn't clay bar, but I think I'll do it in selective spots next time--bugs, tar, etc.

ok, i didn't read all the posts but, i use klasse sealant, and love it. i use poor boys wax and love that. klasse does an amazing job for sealant, but i have not used their wax, so i wouldn't know...
