Zaino-friendly bug and tar remover?

I've got a multitude of stubborn splattered bugs and other unidentifiable spots stuck to my paint that didn't come off when I washed my car yesterday. My understanding is that Turtle Wax's Bug and Tar Remover will also remove wax and, presumably, Zaino. Is there a cleaner similar to B&TR that will whisk away bug guts and stubborn bits of gook without removing the Zaino protection?

I always use Z6 QD to remove the bugs. Squirt, let soak a bit and rub off. For the really bad ones I soak a small MF in QD and hold it against the bug guts so it saturates and lets loose.

What's "QD"? Z-6 is the "gloss enhancing spray", but I don't see a "Z-6 QD" on Zaino's site. And what's "MF"? Micro-fibre?

QD = Quick Detailer (I don't have any Zaino products so I'm not sure what the exact name of the product is.)

MF = Multifiber (towel)

Yes, Z6 is a Quick Detailer.

A Microfiber Towel is the best thing to use on your paint since it it won't scratch. Get some MF's NOW!

To remove Tar Zaino actually recommends you use their wash in full strength.

I would imagine that the MINI branded bug remover would also remove the wax/zaino underneath? I guess in my case, it doesn't matter, I think all my zaino has worn off from my last application in Oct

I didn't know that. I'll give it a try! Although I'm running low on Z7... :-(

By definition a tar remover removes grease, and wax is a grease, so any tar removing product will remove any wax. Just like dish soap.

You can try a non-grease removing soap (car washes, QD, etc as recommended) and that might be enough to lubricate it and separate it, but if it is stained in there you will have no choice and will need to re-wax the area when you are done.

Well, Zaino's technically *not* a wax, but it's still a pretty good bet that B&TR would remove it. :-)
