Is it ok to use a clay bar from a auto paint shop? Would it be more agressive than a mothers bar? I am planning on using Maguires products, but the only clay bar I can find comes in a kit with mothers detail spray and liquid carnuba wax. I found a paint shop that will sell me just the clay bar but I want to make sure it won't harm the finish. We have a dark metallic grey '04 MCS. We just got it and the surface is very bumpy.

You can get a kit from Meguiar's that includes the detailing spray/lubricant or one that includes a microfiber, see below:
