>>Hmmm. What exactly is TOC sealant? I'd be curious to know what sort of benefit the paint protection is giving your car. Is it one of those systems that makes it so you don't have to wax your car for an extended period of time?

I think it is supposed to make it so you don't have to wax your car for a long time, but I was planning on waxing it anyway..I am going to have to call my dealer to get exact facts on this product. I am baffled since if this product is supposed to somewhat protect the paint then why is debris sticking to it? The debris almost seems like white flecks of paint, and is contained over the left portion of the bonnet. It is not imbedded under the TOC sealant so it couldn't be paint from the factory. It seems to be really stuck on the surface, I have even picked a few pieces off very carefully to see if it is even possible to remove

Hi, DP! I was looking for the thread but couldn't find it .... or favorite datailing Guru posted about the sins of sealing/smothering the paint with those products ... it cost a lot but isn't all it's cracked up to be - if you were in the northeast, leaving it on for the rest of the winter might be a good idea but anywhere else, you might want to start striping it now ... yes, no more perma-plate warrenty, but it would be better for the paint to take it off and do the normal wax thing ...

I have been trying to find info on the TOC but have had no luck. So it is possible to strip off the sealant w/out damaging the paint?

As I said earlier, go to Autopia Car Care

You can strip off anything. Start with a Dawn car wash and the clay bar.
