Well I discussed zaino with my dad the other day and that I planned on getting it for my car when it arrives... also that I'd do his show car once it's been painted and cured (a 69 dart swinger). Well tonight he told me to buy whatever zaino I need and if I would do his envoy denali all up he would pay for everything! so here's the question... sparing no expense (because he can) what would you get in order to have everything I could need? I'm thinking just getting the total protection show car kit since my MINI has leatherette. of course the denali has leather so maybe I should get that? is the zaino leather stuff worth it? should I just get 303 instead? what does everyone think?

 

The Zaino leather cleaner is good. The conditioner is GREAT!!!

For your Dad's Denali with Leather: It's good for the leather and will make the SUV smell like a good leather goods store...

For your MINI with leatherette: Use 303 or the Zaino rubber/plastic dressing.

The leather stuff is great! I'm about to use the cleaner and conditioner on our new, used Saab. Thanks to your dad's help, I'd say the kit is definitely the way to go.

Sounds good! I'm thinking I'll pick up the ultimate kit with the leather products in it... and pick up some 303 by myself once my car arrives. Now the next question... what/how many microfiber towels should I get? I have one that I picked up recently and haven't used yet... it's one of the maguires gold class ones from pep boys. are these sufficient?

If I remember correctly Zaino recommends a 100% terry cloth towel for the buff/removal procedures. I've used the DF brand from our local Zaino guy and love them. Just make sure whatever you get, you wash them first.

 

sounds good! I'll have to stop at bed bath & beyond to get some of the high quality towells he recommends. I'm in PA so I don't have a local 'dealer'

We just sold our Rio Red 97 Mustang GT last weekend. I spent about a day prepping it (interior too). I used the Zaino Fusion and just 2 coats of the Z2 with some Z6 in between and you couldn't even see the door dings. That car was sooo freaking bright! I did point them out to the buyer, btw.

I recommend you get the zfx also to speed up the cure time (about 15 minutes). I tell you after the clay bar and some Fusion you won't believe how slick the finish will be.

I am pretty picky with my car but you guys seems to always swear by this product.

Odd. I thought terry cloth went out back when everyone stopped using Armor All! If you're after cotton, I believe Autopia.com has a microfiber towel that is 100% cotton with fibers small enough to qualify as microfiber.

I didn't go for the cotton, but got 2 of the Sonus wonder buffing towels (or whatever they call them) and they are much softer than the Meguiars. I don't know that they are any better, but they are the softest towels I've ever seen.
