What should I use to wax my Mini?
I'm embarrassed to say that I've owned my Mini since January and have yet to wax it (except for the "wax" in a professional drive through car wash). I have washed it A LOT by hand myself but have not known what wax to buy. I'm hoping I don't have to use a paste wax that dries white and you can never get it all off, out of cracks etc. My BRG will not look good with that.
Any particular product I could get at an auto parts store (my Mini dealer is not close) that is really good????

Look in the detailing forum and you'll see just what a can of worms you've opened.
Lots of good help there and lots of opinions too. Myself I like Zaino better than anything I've tried it's very durable, my 2 cents.
Whatever you decide have fun.

It's gotta be Zaino
I'm a recent convert to Zaino and I'm kicking myself for not finding out about it sooner. I used it on a 6-year old Lincoln Navigator that has seen its share of abuse and on our two MINIs.
Absolutely the best thing I've ever tried and worth every penny (Zaino ain't exactly cheap by volume, but you don't use a lot).
I was able to use just three ounces to do my entire Navigator SUV and two coats on the MINI. Just follow the directions and it's worth the results!

Is one better than the other? Both have zeolots. Who knows?
Turtle Wax rocks!
Just kidding. Really, really kidding.
Yea, I am one of those Zaino dudes as well, but there are many fine flavors in waxes. Just depends what your goals and "likes" are. No "right" answer.
I'm afraid you'll have to do some searching and reading.

The answer for me is.... ZAINO
Meguiar's NXT is probably the best of the easy to find finishes. It is sort of a poor man's Zaino, I think.
I've been very happy with NXT on my car. Nonetheless, every time I see a well-Zaino'd car, I get jealous. Mail order is annoying and prices are high, but I will be switching to Zaino in the not-too distant future.

Since you haven't waxed it since January, I'm not sure if you've "graduated" to ordering an expensive wax that's only available online and applying multiple coats to get that Zaino shine.
It's ok. I'm in that boat too. I'm using Meguire's NXT. Very easy to apply (well less than an hour). The shine may not be as nice as the Zaino, but it works for me.

In terms of time:
Last Friday I placed the order for an '06 MCS and I thought I had better clean up my trade-in, a 1997 Nissan Altima. It got a wash, a claying, a second wash, a dry, a coat of Zaino, a quick engine cleaning and an interior detailing. It all took me 2.5 hours. Once you have your supplies set up for quick access and you know the process, it all happens very quickly. Normally, I would have done a second or third coat of Zaino (20-30 minutes each), but I had an appointment with an MA to make.
(He walked out to the car, took a look at the finish and popped his head back in to reconfirm the age of the car. I love Zaino!)

NXT for me. Quick, easy, protects well and the shine is a mile deep.
Haven't tried Zaino or NXT, but I just waxed mine with Meguiars Gold Class paste wax. I'm happy. The shine is nice, it covered most of the swirl marks, it went on easy and wiped off even easier (easiest I've ever used) and it smells so good I'm inclined to stay with it for that reason alone!
