Interior plastic trim protection

Has anyone applied any kind of protection coating or sticker to the plastic trimming on the doors to protect from scratches? Wondering if it's worth doing while my car is new and scratch free....

My piano black components are black all the way through. I can buff out any minor scratches with a DA polisher. Not sure about other colors, but any pattern would be just on the surface.

A good coat of wax will help a bit. Beyond that maybe covering with clear vinyl like clear bra material will avoid scratches, but I have not heard of this.

My single piece of advise would be to NOT let your daughter bring her backpack into the front seat when you drop her off at school. That adds a lot of wear and tear to the doors and window film. I live with this "damage" every day now..... :(

Haha thanks for the tip. That's really good to know! I have the piano black and one little scratch that looks white, but i'll try giving it a polish and see if it buffs out. I'm scared to try the the sharpie trick that some people recommend...

Griot's Garage has some nice Plastic Cleaner and Polish, I use it about once a year, Molly has Fluid Silver Interior Surface, it is shiny as well, I am careful on where I touch the Secret Compartment Door if/when I need to open it, finger prints on it are not really a problem though.

While not a solution to the original question, I use blue painter's tape on the door sill and lower portions of the door card (panel) to protect against Lot Boy's feet and the mechanic's feet while they service my car at the shop.
