Fix scratch?

Got a bit of a scratch on the front black textured plastic bumper. Any ideas of lessening the appearance of the scratch? Can definitely feel it with my finger nail.

I accidentally scratched my plastic wheel arch with a knife. So i just drew over the "whitened" area with a black Sharpie and it helped reduce the appearance of a scratch. I would like to know if there's anything better to deal with something like this. As you said, it's deep and basically the texture/piece of the plastic is removed.

I'm glad you posted a pic, I would have never known what you were talking about otherwise (sharpie)

Anyways, maybe try:

I have used this product, but I am unable to vouch for how it would turn out on scratched plastic surfaces...

You're welcome. Sharpies must all be the same...

And I'm not quite sure how you can fix a scratch by buying a shoe.

That's because wearing the shoe diverts your attention from the scratch in the black plastic!!

You can repair by filling, sanding, re-texturing then re-dying. I have done many times.
But you need to practice first.

Re-texturing? More information please.
I used a razor blade to take off some burrs around the scratch then used Black Wow. It has never lost the surface difference but the eye is not drawn to a color difference.

You can purchase texture spray, the size of the texture and amount of texture is Dependant on how close you spray, it also needs to be done over a larger area than the repair to blend into the original texture, then redyed.

I'm confused too. I haven't heard of this but it'd be a great item to have. Who makes this and where do you usually buy it?

The product I use is made by SEM I get through a supplier for PTU and interior repair supply, I would imagine a hobby store or even Lowe's my have it, look in the paint area it is an aerosol.
