Microfiber Recommendations?

Can someone please recommend a high quality microfiber for drying and polishing the car? also, please let me know where they can be purchased. I know there must be something better than the best Auto Zone has to offer.

BTW... Has anyone ever used one of these ? If so what is your experience especially pertaining to potential for scratching the finish.

Thanks

I use Adam's Polishes microfiber towels. They are absolutely phenominal. I'll never cheap out on microfiber again. It's well worth the price.

I am a master at polishing out black paint. Quality microfiber towels are therefore an essential part of what I do. I only sell what I use in my own work. Just about ANYTHING will be a step up from the autoparts stores.

Here's an affordable 3 pack of premium microfiber towels at my store, unfortunately Stephanie is NOT included. But you can see how fluffy they are on the table on her right. Note these towels are not best for drying but they are great for wiping off wax, polish, or quick detailer.

For drying, a premium Waffle Weave towel is best like this one

I've got a new waffle weave that I'm calling the "Belgian" waffle weave because the cups are super deep for holding tons of water. I got them in the store, but not online just yet.

For door jambs and other "dirty" work I highly recommend the black microfibers Phil stocks at Detailers Domain. The edging is really nice and they are perfect for stuff which will make the lighter colored microfibers look like crap overtime.

Purchasing MF can be as individual as picking out the options for "your" MINI!!

I'd rather have crap looking microfibers to differentiate between the ones I use for wheels and engine bays from those used for door jambs and interiors. Black MF is a nice idea, but I've got Red and Green ones that also let me differentiate between uses. And note, I wouldn't wash in the same load the towels I used on the wheels and say with Cosmonot as the ones I used for for the jambs..better to know which towels are dirty to prevent confusion later.

I think we're saying pretty much the same thing. I only use the black MF on wheels/engine bays, and wash them separately like you mentioned. The main thing is, knowing which towels are "dirtier" without question and washing accordingly.

Same here. I won't use anything but Adam's stuff. Last month I finally got a porter cable and man it's awesome. Much better than the dingle speed ryobi it replaced.

The only other wax that I use is sold by Greasy's Garage. That stuff is awesome and is basically pure carnauba wax. One coat can last up to six months!

Adam's is a bit more expensive, but so worth the cost.
