Need opinions on temporary bonnet protection for long road trip

I am thinking about how to protect the bonnet during long road trips from bugs, grime etc.

I saw this product called RoadWrap and wondered if any NAMers have used this or other products.

Clear bra is not an option.

Thanks.

Low stick blue tape, works great and is cheap, can get it at almost any home store.

I used the wide blue painters tape on our last Dragon trip due to road work around Knoxville.

Worked perfect.

+1 more for the painters tape. Drove my wife's car from Florida, and it stayed on/protected the whole way over.

A quick Google found these two unhappy persons (last two posts) but this would be true of anything you stick on. If it starts to come loose, you will need to reapply it so it doesn't flap in the wind or become unprotected.

Blue painters tape is probably best. Judging by the video, the look of Road Wrap doesn't look much better than painters tape.

I think duplicolor was selling a product, just like plast-dip that you could spray on...let dry...just mask the edges for a nice look if you want...then it stays on in the rain etc... I think it would come off with warm water and soap.... saw it revised on a show on speed or maybe trucks on spike tv...seemed like neat stuff.
Since it cannot get loose, and flap around...I think that would best best..but if you don't mind the luck, low stick painters tape is used for a day or two by many....but for more than a weekend... I'd likely remove, wash, and reappaly if going the tape route.
