Help identifying stain on door panel
Hello,
Who could peek at this:

and guess what it could be, or more importantly, how I might stand a chance to remove it? Sadly it was there when I got the car, but it's been months now, so I want to just focus on removing it.

Oh no, I wish. It was there, imho its a chemical stain of some kind, probably? from the factory/port?
It catches light and shines a lot; the pic I shot was an iphone camera shot, sadly. I tried to wipe it a bit with the interior cleaner but it doesn't seem to budge. Almost like it's baked-in or something.
Can someone suggest a way to mask it perhaps?

Is it sticky? Like pine sap?
The best way I have found to remove stains like this... is with a little white vinegar and a toothbrush and some patience. Since my dentist passes out toothbrushes at every visit, and I have an electric toothbrush... I have plenty of these to go around.
Just get yourself a bowl of straight white vinegar and sit down next to your car with it and the tooth brush and very gently rub at the spot with the toothbrush until it's gone.
Failing that... try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Just get it damp and gently rub at the spot until it's gone. I would only use this on the plastic surface and stop rubbing every now and then to make sure that it's just taking away the baked in dirt and not anything else. The magic eraser is very mildly abrasive.

I cut it down 4:1 with water and it works great. I use it for anything from the engine bay or removing oil spots on the garage floor after a oil change.
Take some of the diltued and get a cloth damp and set it on the stain for about 15 min. Then try the toothbrush
I have never used on the interior so have no idea what it would do to a door panel so check out a inconspicuous spot first
What's wierd about asking a question with "just a picture" ?
Here's another one I just took after a bit of goo gone. I *think* it did something...
I'm starting to think it is discolored, and I might indeed do some shoe polish trick.

Pic is in my gallery at full res.

update...
So I dabbed some prima nero... meant to take care of it after a few minutes but oops left it overnight...
but even after that a rub rub and... yeah, the spot is indeed very hard to notice now. only under just the wackiest kind of light can you notice it, but I'd say it's been taken care of!
The overnight nero had leaked off to the side, so you can also ever so slightly discern still where it went, but nothing that won't even out as I keep treating the whole door panel.
Thanks everyone for your tips!
