Spring is here - 1st detail for my MCS *pics*
Well I have owned my MCS for about 3 weeks now, and the first really nice day of the year here in NYC was Thursday - went down to the only self-service coin-op car wash I know in Brooklyn and spent a few hours with a hand wash, clay bar, and some Zymol cleaner wax. That and a little Black Wow and I'm ready for the weekend

Looks great!
It's also a great example of how you can detail your MINI at a coin-op place.
Way to be resourceful and do lots of work by hand even when you don't have a place to do so at home.

Looks great Puppy! I remember when I bought my first black car, it was a VW Scirocco. I was a bit hesitant with the color, particularly worried about it showing all the dirt. The salesman said "ah, but its the best color when it's clean". I was sold

You've done justice to the color black!

Thanks for all your kind words! I love the MINI community here.
Rixter - absolutely; as much as it sucks when black gets dirty, it sure makes the washing worth it. My last car, which was so shameful I dare not even utter its name should it somehow re-enter my life, was such an awful beige that it could sit outside for 4 months, unwashed, and any cleaning only highlighted the dings.
onetigerlsu - I took the picture in Brookyln, just a couple minutes from my apartment. It's a particularly quiet little warehouse street by the East River in Greenpoint, which is probably why there is so much cool graffiti - easier to get away with it. I live in South Williamsburg and even though there are tags all over the place it's a pretty safe and quiet area. Knock on wood.
