Slick on glass
Slick on glass
I know this has been discussed before but I just finished spot detailing Pepper Jack and am so amazed I had to shout about it. This is not the first time I've used it on glass but it occurred to me tonight how many specialty glass cleaners I've used and for me, none any better than Slick. If you have never used Slick on windows give it a try. Cleans streak free. Leaves the glass with a ultra smooth polished look that has properties similar to Rain-X. When I wash the MINI, and they are clean, I hydro the windows right along with the rest of the car. When they need to be cleaned between washes I use Slick. Try it. You'll be amazed.
I'm partial to Clarity or Stoner's for windows. It is good to know that Slick also works well for exterior windows. Thanks for the report.
On the inside of the glass I use a special glass microfiber that I got from DP. It works very well & leaves no lint. On the outside it's just a regular clean microfiber.

I use Clarity & then Slick on my eye glasses - they work very well (Clarity and Slick as well as my eye glasses).
Oh and the same for the MINI glass. I also wax all my exterior glass surfaces with Epic.

If you have a clear bra and it's picking up excess pollen or road dirt, slick also helps keep it clean because of it's anti-static properties as ken mentions above.

It works
This thread made me curious about what effect Slick might have used on windows. I applied Slick to the windscreen, side and back windows. Yesterday I drove roundtrip to DC, 4 hours in the rain. Water beads up so readily on the windscreen that it was really unnecessary to use the wipers, even in moderately heavy rain. Slick works as well, if not better, than Rain-X IMHO. Insect cadavers and birdpoop wash right off. I was impressed and will continue to use Slick on glass. Good tip!
