I have tried a few times since getting my MINI on August 23 to clean the windows, glass, etc., since they are a bug magnet! Anyhow, my problem is that I keep ending up with a streaky mess! Please help-what cleaners can I use and what is the best towel/cloth to use? HELP, my MINI is feeling a little bit less than gorgeous these days.

Stoner Glass Cleaner....

Try this......
It's what I've been using on my current car. I can assure you.... it's worth the order.
As for the rag to use...... check on the above site..... a micro-fiber towel is IMO your best bet.
Hope this helps.

I use rainx or the glass cleaner armor all sells (the only armor all product I use)

micro fiber or diaper based are your best bets clothwise....

Remember rainx needs to be buffed out a lot or it will look foggy or streaky.

Stoner's Invisible Glass is what I use as well and I'm a **** clean freak. My car is being shipped to my house today and I plan to CLEAN it before I DRIVE it. Yes, I'm insane. ). 3 minutes and you're on your way.

Just as a follow up to what wessieball said.....
link.... This can be used with water or your fav. cleaner with great results.

Also..... Not all Micro-Fiber towels are the same. Most of the time you get what you pay for...... If your interested read this article. Micro-Fiber.... what is it?
Happy Motoring,

Don't forget that when layer of rainx starts getting thin, it starts to cloud when you use the wiper blades... My suggestion is if you use rainx, also use the rainx winsheild wiper fluid, or the fluid additive, to make sure that you keep a nice thick coat of rainx on the windows...

I could be wrong, but don't most new windshields have this problem? It'll come off (whatever it is) after a few washes and stop streaking.
