Yellow stripe paint

well it happened today I was driving allong with little or no notice of wet paint on the road when I got to my destination I had yellow paint across the drivers side of the car on the plastic and paint, wheels, wheel wells back hatch and back window.

So far I have used Clay Bar and WD-40 to remove it about 99% from the paint and plastic trim. (window I used a strait razor blade)

How do I get this off of the tires and inside wheel wells?

inside the wheel wells is a PITA but the best way is to remove each wheel and get in there with the clay bar. Another possible solution is megs number 30 and a nail brush. Just be careful and make sure to use a jack stand . As far as the wheels...same thing.

if this doesnt work, you got me but i bet with a lot of elbow grease things will come off.

Contact the local municipality or DOT where the road work was being done. I've read stories of people getting reimbursement for paint damage to their vehicles. Give it a try, maybe with the $ you can get a pro to bring it back to its former glory.
