actually, most DCMM'ers who call me names have never met me (though they do like to PM insults about me to other club members). Those who have don't. There's a reason we started CAMM and it's everything to do with the juvenile behavior in that other club so don't hold that over my head as if I'm not accepted by them - I don't flippin care.

Um...yeah....i didn't wash my car for a long time ....

But I'm a physicist... Most of us are more concerned about content than appearence. Just think back to your last physics class for confirmation!
And I wouldn't say the board has gone down the tubes in the last 6 months... I've been posting for a couple years (joined 9/04) but lurked for a year or two before actually joining up. I'd say there's more of an ebb and flow.... The one trend that is pretty constant though is the loss of really hard-core pioneers. The car has just been around too long to be so new that those types would still be here in high numbers... They've moved on to other things.... Tis the nature of the beast...
As for the pisssing contests, let's just say that I"m of the opinion that there are many who take internet postings way to seriously...

just saw this post. Thing is....the people looking over the car are EVO and Suby guys...the seats didn't phase them. What they all asked about was the silly $85 Kuda GPS mount and how I made it look so ''OEM" glad somebody gets it

I do keep them clean, most of the time. When I first spotted this thread my car had been unwashed for it's longest period ever.
I just wanted to play with the dirty cars for awhile.
It's now sitting, clean, in the baking hot sun.
It did get a little natural shower last night (rain), but somewhat still clean just not as buff as it could be I guess.

Hi. I don\'t have my Mini yet, but I would like to keep it as clean as I can. I suffer from OCD and am supposed to take pills for it which were prescribed by my doctor, but I found that they greatly decrease my sex drive so now I don\'t take them anymore and sell them at a discount to other people in my OCD support group. But what do you guys recommend that I should stock up on? I really hate all the dust that I can see through the A/C vents in my Ford pick up and I don\'t know how to clean it. Should I get those long Q-Tip looking things? Or should I just use regular Q-Tips and just tape them to a long stick? How about underneath the car? It is easy to clean on my Ford since I had the 36 inch lift on it, but I think the Mini would be harder to clean. Should I get 4 ramps I can drive on to for proper cleaning? Any advice would be much appreciated.
