The Official OCDetailer Hall Of Shame
Doesn't matter if I agree with it, you'll believe what you wish. Can't be all that bad, StLouieLo was begging to join. "Can I join, Oh, please, please"
Lois...

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. enjoy your trip.
This could very well be the most ironic sentence every posted in the history of this board. Wow. Just wow.
Hey I have those wheels too! Its worth keeping them good lookin'.
I don't know what color some of your cars are- those of you in this 'hall of shame', but I think part of the slackerness (in cleaning) might be due to the color of your car.
PGT, for example, has a gray car, which definitely hides the dirt better. Anyone who has a black car would HAVE to wash at least once every month, not every six.
Maybe this is me trying to make good out of the situation...just offering something up here.

'Best Interior'...the trophy is cool....a connecting rod welded to a nut mounted on a marble base. The categories this year were not brand specific (best mini, best subaru etc). They had 'Best in Show' (465awhp EVO), 'Best Exterior' ('06 STI with showroom finish), 'Best Interior' (me) and 'Car We'd Most Like to Drive' (won by a 600rwhp Supra).
I spent 3x the time on the exterior than the interior last night. Oh well...just goes to show...being clean isn't everything

Well, heckfire, Danno.... those seats are good for a zillion points... you could fill the car with dead cockroaches and still win interior with the right judges.
BTW, I'm an OCDetailer, and I love this thread.
(I'm just waiting for my induction into the OCD hall of fame before I post the pics to join this one...)

Well, I just got done giving the exterior the once over. I think the Euro-Sunday meet is just a gathering at a coffee house, albeit with some pretty nice rides. I don't think there's any judging or anything going on, but rolling in with the cheapest ride, I'll be sure to park on the fringe.
Makes me sick every time I give it a good wash. There are so many rock chips, blemishes and the such on the hood and front bumper I want to rip the things off and have them re-painted. One thing is for sure, when I pull the hood to paint it, the stupid windshield nozzles are going to be removed and filled. I'll put some new ones in the hood cowl vents. They're way to hard to wash and wax around.
Way to go PGT, even us slackers can take a win once in a while.

Interesting thread for a detailing forum. I guess there is supposed to be some kind of sarcastic humour going on here. What I see is nothing more than a bunch of lazy folks who have decided to make fun of others who take great pride in how their ride looks.
I think a better thread title would be SLOB. Sleazy Lazy Obnoxious Boors.
But please, don't take that personally. I have been known to not get "it" before. But not this time, IMO.

If you've been paying any kind of attention to what's going on around here, I think you'd reverse your opionion on who you want to call names.
And cloak the nasty word if you want, but that's still a violation of the TOS.
You and your 8 posts, coming in here and calling a long-time member and a moderator a name like that... you should be banned.

Well, Dan... that is your name, right ? Although some DCMM members who've met you in person have called you by some other names. But I'd like to meet you in person so I don't pre-judge you....
ANYway... you can pretend to be innocent in all this. But you and I both know why you started this thread. So save the victim stuff for someone who cares. Your childish and boorish behavior won't pass. You've been a pot-stirrer around here for a long time, so this thread shouldn't have surprised me.
If Lotsie and Louis decided they no longer wanted to be moderators, that's their choice, of course. Can't say I blame them. This board has gone down the tubes, and fast, in the last six months. Most of the good, long-time posters have vacated already. Only a dozen, or so, remain. It's populated mostly by newbs who have been here less than six months, and by those who feel it necessary to try to bully others.

Guys - how about backing away from the keyboards for a while? At least as it relates to indictments of and discussions of personal behavior, intentions of various posters on this thread, etc.?
I know and respect both of you... I like both olive oil and balsamic vinegar with my bread... but they don't mix very well.
But they both are tasty together on my bread plate.
You guys can decide which is which. But let's all get along, shall we?

Read the last three pages of the now locked Mad Modders thread, Paul.
Then check the date and time this thread was started and the date and time the OCD HOF thread was started.
Then I think you'll see where I'm coming from.
But yeah, I've said my piece to Dan, he knows where I stand with him, enough said.
I won't be visiting this thread any more, just to make sure I don't say something I'll regret later.

nobody has referred to either of those threads here except you. read this thread (before the now ex-moderators chimed in) and you'll see there's a distinct group of performance minded folks who like a clean car but have to struggle to keep it so. Parody, perhaps. Reality - you betcha.
I'd love to keep the car clean, but it's not even 9am and already 90 degrees out with a high of 105 expected. Until I can convince myself that doubling the electric bill to AC the garage is a good idea the car at best will see the 6 buck Laser Wash now and again.
I actually want to put an A/C unit in the garage...it's fully drywalled and finished and no exterior walls, so, that complicates things. Mitsubishi makes the 'Mr. Slim'...need to read up on it
