Claybar question

I have been concidering claybarring my 3mo old clubman.
I noticed TurtleWax has a new Liquid Claybar product.
Is liquid claybar something that I should, should not concider?

I would not. The general consensus is that it doesn't really act as claybar at all. You can get a reasonably priced clay kit with everything you need it in locally (auto supply) - Meguiar's, Mothers, and Clay Magic are all fine and the real thing.

While i've never used liquid claybar i can now recommend the Meguiar's Clay Kit. My paint is very smooth now, and shiny!! It's been just about a week since i used it on my MINI.

I tried the liquid claybar on one of my cars. it was a waste of time. Buy a Speedshine & Clay kit from Griots garage.

Thanks for the advise!
I will buy a claybar and geter done right.

One more question!!!
I read in another post that instead of using a claybar lubricant, it was ok to use clean soapy wash water. What is everyone opinion on this?

I have never tried it. I have used Slick and Speedshine. You want to make sure that the surface is super-well lubricated to prevent micro-scratches.
