Good news/bad news with Prima this weekend

Bad news: I had great intentions of using Prima Swirl last weekend to get all the swirl marks out of my paint, but failed! I could give you details to try to guess what went wrong, but the answer is simply that I need to get myself to Octane Guy's next clinic to learn how to use it properly.

The good news: This was the first time in a while that I didn't use Hydro after washing, and the finish looked terribly streaky and hologrammy! Kudos to Hydro for keeping my finish looking really good when it otherwise wouldn't.

Other good news: I ended up polishing with Klasse AIO on a Prima black pad and then applied Epic by hand. The finish looks great (as long as you don't look closely enough to see the swirls, of course). Epic went on more easily than SG, and definitely came off much, much more easily, plus it is slicker and more reflective than I remember SG being.

Have OG's DVD? Because that helped me figure it out...

+1 for OG's DVD.
Also, I don't think you will be happy with the staying power of Epic over Klasse. They don't play well together from what I remember. Let us know for sure.

+2 for OG DVD
Also understand that this is a learning process. The first time I used the PC I did not get all of the swirls out of my BRG paint. Second try was better and I expect the third to be the charm.
I am a slow learner.

I already have OG's DVD! That's the problem: I really thought I knew what I was doing, but it didn't work out.

As for Epic over Klasse, I seem to remember hearing that it was okay, but I'll find out for sure. If it doesn't hold up, at least it's easier to re-apply than SG. I'll let you know.

Any possibility you got one of the "bad" bottles of Swirl? IIRC, there was a bad batch a while back... otherwise it should be pretty foolproof if you have the DVD...
