Well, I'm into the better stuff, but not on Sunday in rural Alabama. Here, all I can get is WalMart.

I bought the ICE because I am tired of going back over every ridge and joint cleaning off white residue and having to peanut butter the plastic mouldings. I've been using Maguire's paste wax.

Will the Zaino, etc., leave the same white residue and treat the plastic as badly?

i hear you i lived in rural texas for many years . i get most of my stuff online anyhow. klasse does not whiten the black bits. and the carnauba topper i use s100 (motorcylce version of p21s - same wax, same sized tub but, 1/2 the price) does not either.

don't think zaion or prima leaves white residue either but, i'm a klasse guy. sure others will chime in on their favorites.

awesome. yeah the ICE wash is good stuff. nice to have a decent over the counter wash that you can run and get when you need it.

i use a black tire dressing applicator for the black wow. not the sponge type but, a round one- looks like a polish or wax applicator. tery cloth i believe and has a seam to work it in real good. you can get them in 3 packs at pep boys for like $4.

last time i BW'd i did it before i washed and i was happier with the results. it looked the same but, it was easier to get any BW i got on the paint off while washing it. it's hard not to get any on the paint when you do the side markers and roof line IMO.

For BW, I use (thanks to Ken, haha) a shoe polish applicator sponge. They look like this:

I used Zaino Z2 last weekend and it left no white residue on the black trim.
They advertise as much but I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself.

Just gave my ride her first ICE bath. Pretty good shine for no work. I didn't have enough towels to get her nicely dry and there were no waterspots. Am sure it's not as lasting as a good wax, but she does shine.

second the recommendation for Klasse twins. I've sometimes used a topcoat of carnauba over them as well, but with my Pepper White mini there did not seem to be any depth or gloss advantage. I've used Meguiars gold class wash for a long time, but if the Ice wash is at Costco next trip I'll have to try it.

We picked up some of the Ice at Costco yesterday. I'm curious and if nothing else, we can use it on the big tree SUV.

Sorry to not go along with the hype....

I bought the jug of Ice Wash from Costco and washed my Jet Black MCS and wasn't wowed by it's performance. It worked as well as any other car wash soap. I think I'll be sticking to Mystique.

Mystique isn't a professional product, though it IS a premium enthusiasts product!

I found Turtle Wax Ice Wash about as nice as NXT Car Wash Soap--similar sudsing.

Yep, I use Prima Mystique, Prima Swirl, Prima Epic...just like you use Prima Hydro.

If I used Ice Car Wash--wouldn't that make it a professional product too??

I used the ice liquid wax and claybar and wash and the first time, I was so impressed, then it rained. Well, after 3 coats of ice wax, and one rain, the car was rough to the touch after a wash. I am thoroughly disappointed in the wax job and its stay-ability. I switched to NXT liquid wax and I am thoroughly impressed because my co-worker 5' 5" leaned on my MINI (terrible idea I might add) and slipped off sideways after an NXT Wax! It was hilarious in his work suit. Anyways, the Ice wash is great and you can get a gallon at Costco for $6.00. You can't beat it, but next time I am going to try the NXT wash since the Wax is soooooo good!
