vinyl wax / polish question
Hello, sorry if this question makes me sound like a doofus, but I'd like to get some aftermarket sport stripes on my MC, and I don't know if I'll need to do anything different to them when I wax / polish. Anybody have aftermarket vinyl on their cars? I've heard of taping the edges - necessary?

IIRC You only really need to tape the edges if you are going to take them off at a later time so wax residue does not build up. I just wax/hydro/wash/QD right over them. Why would you need to polish them?
