I have this nasty orange or maybe yellow stuff on the black trim by the front wheels. I think it is the preotective wax that MINI uses. How do i get it off???

 

I've had pretty good luck with Castrol Super Clean diluted with water. You can get it at Autozone/Walmart/etc. Just dip a microfiber towel innit and wipe/scrub the cosmoline off.

You might want to wear rubber gloves with it if you don't cut it with water very much (it's pretty basic), and you ought to hose the clean area off with water after you're done.

Thanks all. Have been told to try peanut butter and a toothbrush!!. Will try that first

 

No need for the "!!" the oils in the peanuts breakdown the wax (you can use peanut oil too)
