Yes, you're right....you'll get the majority of your response from Prima users here, and it does seem a safe route to take based on all your criteria. There's something in this one line for just about every need.

There are folks using other products, too, with very good results (I use Klasse), but I think it'd be hard to argue against giving Prima serious consideration. It bears studying, along with really identifying your real-world preferences/goals/needs. However, don't underestimate the power of your MINI to launch you to a whole new level of detailing obsession, far beyond what you presently consider to be normal. Another reason to carefully study Prima (and maybe a few others ).

Prima and Griot'sGarage are what I use. both are great products.

on a daily driver, most definitely try Prima Hydro. this has been my
primary wax (although a spray wax) on my commuters this spring/summer
and it has been GREAT. i haven't even polished it yet cause
it hides light swirls very well.

Zaino used to be the "hot" products used for MINIs.

Read the detailing forums and you will find advocates for Klasse, Collinite, PS21, Pinnacle Sourveign and others. IMO its best to get the opinion of many different users and then make up your own mind. Ask over on autopia.org

I agree... there's lots of good stuff out there. Yes, it can be confusing and rather daunting though! As long as you stay within the preimum brands (many are mentioned above by chows and others have mentioned Prima), you really can't go wrong for the most part. There are pros and cons to many brands/systems based on your preferences, time, color, durability, specific looks (deep, glossy, reflective, warm), etc. Much of what you read in forums can help you determine a possible good match. It's also fun to try various things to find out what you like personally. At the end of the day, to each his own!

Of course, I'm biased towards Prima (I make it ) but honestly I also use many other premium brands too. There's lots of good stuff out there!

We do have Prima-based starter bundles available, which have been based primarily on what we've found MINI owners like. If you don't feel like freelance exploring, these can be a great option (with big savings too!):

Paradise Bundles (click for a link to these bundles)

Welcome to the beginning of your new obsession!

As said above, many option, and I have tried most.

Prima is the way to go. Used Epic yesterday for the frist time after using M21. I will stick with Epic.

And Hydo is great.

As a former "who needs a clean car?" flagbearer, I would definitely recommend the Prima stuff. One of the big turn-offs I had to cleaning was that I was lead to believe anything that really was good required a whole day of sweat, most likely blood, and certainly tears. Not only does the Prima stuff meet the acceptance of the terminally OCD, but it is pretty easy to use. The bundles are a great deal, too. Unfortunately, I bought piecemeal, as I slid in to the crevase of the clean car crowd. (Just in case Kenchan and his ilk are listening, don't get too excited. Other than removing a scratch, I haven't done anything on my car in over a week).

You're being very tame on this thread.
