My insurance is $100 less than yours...except that I'm paying $300/mo, not $300/6mo. I hate being young. And in a few months there will be about 5-6 points on my record, so thats another $200 easy...

I could ask you about 20 questions to help you determine why it went down.
That's too much work for both of us and besides, it was probably a combination of factors coming into play... your age group changed, car's IRG changed, you moved, you had a discount kick in, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Congrats on your premium decrease. May you get many more in your life.

Jeremy, you'll be lucky if you only see a $200 increase, given the tickets you're trying to fight and your age. You may even be terminated by your current company. I hope not, of course, but keep in mind that possibility.

Mr. laywer man said reckless isnt going to hold. So its going to be the points from my prior PBJs and the speeding/failure to stay right of center from this court date.

I'm not sure who your insurance carrier is, Jeremy. But if you were with the company I work for (you know the one), we can cancel in Maryland for a combination of 3 accidents and/or violations or for 2 accidents. Sounds like the 3-violation rule is the one you need to be concerned about.

And I'm pretty sure almost every insurance company operating in the State has that same underwriting standard filed with the Maryland Insurance Administration.

I hope you come out of this trial as well as possible, but keep this info in mind.

Mine just dropped again. But only $20 every 6 months. It dropped last statement too though. I think it said something about a re-adjustment based on safety features or something to that effect.

I had 5-7 points a while back when I was like 19.. and I paid $600 a month.
plus no one would accept me beside MAIF.. just get ready for the worst.

Now, I am paying $300 a month currently.. and expecting another big drop after this month (renewal with GEICO) all of my points has been dropped as of Feb 2007.. Mmmmmm

Phew, my insurance went up a tiny bit with the new MINI. $440 per six months, but that is for the MINI Cooper S AND a Z3 coupe 3.0! Not hateful. I have USAA which has proven to be one of the most helpful auto insurance companies.

Mike, check out Liberty Mutual and the deal they have for BMW- MINI owners ... after 13 years I dropped USAA because of a better deal with Liberty and the service (needed to pay for the loaner that got hit by a gost SUV ) was excellent. Done everything on line and by phone.
The USAA rep reviewed Liberty policy and agreed that is was better (higher coverage) and cheaper !!
