Bitter Sweet Speeding ticket...

A friend of mine sent me this ... He just got ticketed for speeding - reckless driving - as he was racing with this MINI... The story is that he saw a MINI on the road and decided to motor Italian Job Style .. so did the other MINI until the other motorist identified himself with sirens and flashing lights....

He took this pict. as a mementum after getting his ticket...

That is just so funny. You gotta laugh at it, you just have to! Like you couldn't see that there was a light bar on top of the car or Polizia painted on the side???

I would have thought that the light bar on top would be a dead giveaway... not to mention that the friend should have noticed the huge "POLIZIA" on the side (assuming they ever saw the sides of the car).

Seriously - when you see a light bar... time to slow down... unless it's a taxi!

I am telling the story as he reported it to me... but I can see missing the lights and the POLIZIA in the dark... This funny incident - I couldn't stop laughing - happened at 2 or 3 am after a fun night at a local disco.

He did tell me that the "Poliziotto" actually cut him a break as the Police have the authority to confiscate the car of anyone whose driving is considered to be dangerous to others. In Italy (and many parts of EU) the police can keep you in jail up to 48hrs w/o officially charging you of a crime...

Also making fun of politians... seriously!

Around here the Sheriff uses SUVs. Sometimes a contractor truck with the rack looks the same at a distance.

I hope anyone who ends up there likes spaghetti - I hear they serve it 3 times a day in the prisons... or so Mr. Bridger says in the first Italian Job!
