Lucky Dog Garage - New Services

LDG is excited to offer new services. Since we began we have been dedicated to providing a high level of service to all our customers. We are now pleased to announce that we've upgraded our diagnostic capabilities on all BMW/MINI and Mercedes. We now have complete factory level scan tools for these makes. We can now offer such services as module and key coding as well as the ability to program all convenience features.
We have also just added a Dynapack AWD Dyno to our arsenal which we will be used to further develop and perfect the performance upgrades that we currently offer. The upgrades include our 210whp CNC'd head package as well as Performance ECU re-flashes.
Come to the Open House on Feb 3rd to get all the details. We will have several demo vehicles there to display and rides can be arranged.

Wow! Cool! I'll take advantage of that in a bit! Should be a real boon to those adding fogs, alarms etc after the fact!

Newbie here. What sorts of things can you do with "convenience coding"?

Can you make the window switch do auto up without having to buy that 3rd party wire contraption?

Convenience features are things like:
Daytime running lamps (on/off)
the bing when your low fuel light comes on
automatic locking of doors when the car starts moving
automatic unlocking of doors when you take out the key
etc.

Yep... and auto-up windows isn't one of them. There's an official list of them all, I think I had it typed up at one point, but I don't have it handy.

The dyno is interesting because it doesnt use rollers but hooks up to the hubs.

If you hold down the unlock button your your key, your windows drop, and sunroof opens.

It should have been that way from the start. Just another example of how the manufactures try to control the marketplace.

Just a heads up, doesn't look like it can control daytime running lamps.
I wanted mine turned off, we disabled them via software and it didn't make a difference. Then we read information, turns out it can't be done on the R50 or R53 with that software. Everything else seemed to be fine though.
