I'll keep that in mind..Thanks! I already have a blanket in the boot, crocheted by my granny, just in case I get cold. I could use that if need be.

no worries, boys... I wasnt insulted

Im doing VERY well with the driving, picked it right up again after getting Lenore back after three weeks of repairs. I just know I still have some trouble on hills. Plus there are some people that havent even seen her yet, and Id like to show her off a bit

Sal, if you go down Road's End @ 30 feet, on your right is a tiny, flat dead end. Park there. Or, get here early ( like right at 4), and park in my driveway.

Son, please bring a variety of some nice cookies.

Jeremy, you can come only if you've replaced your runflat! JK...sorta .
Hmmm...the food situation is pretty good. Study the list, and use your imagination.

On another note, I don't have any Xmas music. Anyone have any Xmas CD's? If so, please bring 'em...heck, if you have any favorite music, bring it. We have a new 5-disc CD player...just keep in mind, it's a family party.

Parking safely on a hill is simply a matter of 3 steps:
  1. Parking brake
  2. Park in gear (reverse if uphill, first if downhill)
  3. Turn wheels away from curb if uphill, towards curb if downhill
No worries. The only challenging part for a relatively new manual driver is pulling away in first gear. Of course, if you park facing downhill, that's much less of a problem.

Yep, I'm one of them - looking forward to checking her out... and Paul's new ride, too! A shame he won't be there too. At some point, we'll have to get a "JCWs of DCMM" group photo shoot... with Sherwin, James, Sam and Marina's JCWs too! (GP in the middle, of course)... and any other JCWs I'm forgetting (I'm sure there's some... there's Kurt, for example, but probably won't have it any more by the time we get the shoot together ).

Hmm... any favorite music... nah... something tells me it wouldn't go over well with everyone, family or not. Then again, if Sally is willing to give (parked) seat-time in Lenore, the DPSM just might be worth bringing some particularly loud CDs.

I can't wait to hear what you think. Between the added power of his with the added JCW bits and the newer gearing.

The only factor I'm not happy about demoing, performance-wise... heavy S-Lites (that used to be hers!) and snow tires...

....

Anyone up for rides in the new IS with AWD? It will be broken in by Saturday as the break-in is only 600 miles.

What about beer? Would it be OK if I brought my own to drink in extreme moderation? Or would I be setting a bad example? Respectfully your call - without any grousing on my part.

Please do come...I think we have the food covered. Don't forget to bring an under $20 grab-bag gift.

BYOB...we can always put folks up who feel uncomfortable driving home. I can guest up to 8 peeps.
I even bought fresh juice and eggs, in case I'm making breakfast.

My schedule for Saturday is a bit crazy.

I have another party on Saturday night from 9 pm on so I will be able to make the DCMM party in the afternoon but I cannot be there before 5:30ish (make up and hair do) so if someone can stop by my place on the way to Katie's to pick up the sodas you can have drinks before 5:30, otherwise you have to wait for me.

I saw a post earlier in the thread about this. Is this gift going to be something that a small child would want? Or something for someone old enough to drive?

You should start your primping earlier. Good thing I had a back-up plan.

Funny, he posts after I ran into him today at Goddard.
Before I even said a thing he mentioned that he got the note I left him the other day.
